Red wine or balsamic vinegar in a beurre rouge?
I'm thinking of making a rack of lamb with a beurre rouge and i've been looking at a few different recipes. Some say use red wine vinegar along with the red wine while others suggest using balsamic. Which would be better in this case?

I'm looking for software programs to try and protect my computer more from individual hackers, or if I have my terminology correct "Ghost" my laptop. I've heard some crazy stories about individuals hacking and tracking down someone because of some confrontation they had online, or just for the fun of it. Can you recommend me some programs that will help make my laptop harder to hack or untraceable, like IP address scramblers, firewalls, or anything that'll help.
Ghostery is one i've heard of, is that any good. Also VPNs, what are they and how do they work?

Is it a common round to find at local gun stores? What about Cabelas, would they carry 8mm Mauser ammo? Also, what about the 7.62x54R? Do most gun stores sell those, and can either be found easily with soft tips for hunting?
10 AntwortenHuntingvor 7 JahrenWhat are some uses for parts of a deer?
I'm planning on going out hunting whitetail deer this fall. I'm planning on doing this strictly for food, my family isn't doing that great financially and I thought a single deer could bring a lot of food home. So I do not want to have any decorations or head mounts hanging up, that's not something i'm interested in. But Just taking the meat and leaving the rest out there seems like a bit of a waste. So, are there any uses for any other parts of the deer besides decorations? I was reading about it a little and found you can use fat to make soap, sinew to make sort of like a rope or twine like material, and some people said you can sell the hide some people said that's illegal. So what are some uses for parts like the fat, sinew, hide, antler, etc besides using them as decorations?
7 AntwortenHuntingvor 7 JahrenHow do you hunt?
I'm new to this so I want to ask how some people go hunting. I'm trying out for deer, so I want to ask what do you personally do when hunting? Do you track it down and stalk it? Do you wait in a tree stand or one of those camouflage covers? If you wait in one of those, do you leave out bait as well? Or is there some other way you go out and hunt? I'm just curious to see what methods people use.

For hunting white tail deer. I was thinking of getting a 6x scope, but I also do not know any good brands. It's going to be my first time hunting and i'd rather not put too much money into it. So what are some good but cheaper scopes?
Also is a 6x enough? I know the 3-9x variable seems pretty popular, would you recommend that instead? Or is 6x too many, and you could easily use a 4x scope?
11 AntwortenHuntingvor 7 JahrenWhat would be a good WW2 era bolt action surplus rifle for deer hunting?
I'm planning on trying deer hunting for the first time in the fall, but i've never been hunting before and I do not own my own rifle. I have fire rifles before, and I am 18 and can legally own a rifle. I also have a real interest in the history of WW1 and WW2 (more on WW2 though). I know there are some rifles on the surplus market that I can get pretty cheap, so I was thinking about getting a WW2 bolt-action rifle for deer hunting.
The one I would really like to get is a Lee Enfield No.4 Mk1. I've seen them go for $250-350, but my dad brought up he doesn't know how common or rare .303 British ammo is. I read from multiple sources that soft tip ammo is better for deer, so is it possible to find .303 British ammo at a local gun store? I know Mosin Nagants are cheap but reliable too, so would it be better to get a 91/30 Mosin since they are more common and the ammo is cheaper? My second choice was actually an M48 Yugo Mauser. I know they are from after WW2, but I still think they are cool and well built rifles. But is the 8mm Mauser hard to find as well? If you have any additional suggestions, I would like a WW2 era rifle that is generally under $500 and that ammo is common to find in any gun shop. And help is much appreciated.

Does it matter more how many styles you train in, or how hard you train period? If someone learns three of four different styles, would they become better with that or would it actually end up complicating things more? What are your thoughts on this?
10 AntwortenMartial Artsvor 7 JahrenAbout how much does restoration cost?
I'm looking to get a 1970 Monte Carlo fixed up. What I really want is just to get it working again. The interior is fine, the seats are still nice and everything. However it needs a new coat of paint and there is a rust patch that needs to be taken care of. Also, the transmission needs to be repaired and it needs a new engine. The engine was taken out and put into a Firebird, then that Firebird was sold. The Firebird's engine is still in the garage, but it too is broken. So to get the pain redone, and get the transmission fixed and engine fixed and put in, about how much money will this all cost?
Bonus Q: Is it possible to find a more fuel friendly V8 to put in to get better mileage?

5 AntwortenBuying & Sellingvor 8 JahrenIs ITF legitimate, or should it be avoided like WTF and ATA?
I've heard a bit of both, saying that ITF is more traditional and they tend to have good dojangs. I've also heard it's not legitimate either. Is ITF ok to learn under, or should they be avoided as well?
Also, if a place offers a "Cardio Kickboxing" class, is that a warning sign of a mcdojo?

I'm trying to fix up an old 1970 Monte Carlo. It needs a new engine, and I would like to know what effects the miles it gets. Is it just the engine that does? I know a V8 is more powerful than a normal V6 but less fuel efficient. But is it just the engine that determines MPG or is there more that does?

10 AntwortenMartial Artsvor 8 JahrenHigh kicks, are they ineffective against everyone, or just trained fighters?
I've heard from many people, high kicks aren't effective, or they are a high risk high reward where they are easy to dodge and throw off your balance. Is this true for everyone, or just other trained fighters. Take some common jerk, trying to pick fights just to prove he's tough. Never taken any training in fighting, just self learning. If you were trained well trained in a style, and could pull off kicks to the head well, would they still be not as effective, or a high risk high reward deal, or would it be different against someone who isn't as well trained?
15 AntwortenMartial Artsvor 8 JahrenLooking to fix a 1970 Monte Carlo, what do I need to know about it?
My dad has an old 1970 Monte Carlo in my grandmother's garage, and since I don't have a car, he said I can have it if I put money and effort into fixing it up. I've seen the car, what I know it needs is a new engine, as my dad took out the engine and put it in another car that was sold. It also has a rust spot on the back part of the right side, and needs a new coat of paint.
So what should I know or look into about getting a new engine. Is it possible to put a different engine than what it had, or should I just get a new V8 engine? Also, what can I do about the spot of rust on the body? I've never looked into any of this, and it's all new to me, so sorry if I sound stupid about this. Thank you for any help you can give.

Me and a friend are putting together a band. We've decided on doing Metalcore, but I want to make it a bit more unique. I want to try mixing with something that hasn't been done before or popularized. We've been tossing around the idea of Industrial Metalcore, but are trying to look into more sub genres. We don't want do mix Thrash or Progressive since it's been done plenty. What would you suggest?
