You are the runner of your party and need to nominate a winning canidate. You two to choose from.

The first? A tall, handsome charismatic man whos very presence electrifies a room. During interviews, he dodges hardball questions with a smile and well timed one liner. Even his opponents admit he is a rockstar and envy his popularity. Problem is, His political ideology easily fits on a bumpersticker. He is as deep as a pothole.

The second? He is short puffy man with a distinctively bulbous asymeterical face. However, He is an exceedingly gifted administrator. He has a gift for creating plans that anticipate problems and address them on the go. Even his most vocal critics have few legitmate criticisms about him. He is cold in manner and distant. He does slowly inspire by his quiet determination.

You have to pick one that will win the Whitehouse. What do you do?

If insist on picking a real canidate in this exercise, please don't answer.

Hypothetical Question: It's 1947 and you're president of the USA. You have secured a dozen NAZI scientists with a tremendous amount of knowledge that could only benefit your country. Some of these scientists used horrific methods of testing on humans against their will. None of these scientists are repentant and demand amnesty to share their knowledge. None of them are named Von Braun. If you say yes, You are giving silent approval to their methods. If you say no, You'll only give them to Russia who has no qualms about using their knowledge. What do you do?

Many believe it is an evil visited upon all living things. Others believe its the natural conclussion of life. What do you believe?

You blow your nose and discard the tissue in a public waste bucket. A company takes that tissue finds a cure for tuberculosis in your DNA. Said company uses it to make a lot of money that you don't see a penny from. Other companies offer to buy traces of your DNA, but they are blocked by a court order stating that they own the copyright on your DNA.

And yes, Companies are trying to copyright your DNA.

I'm just doing a little price comparison. I know I need to upgrade my system to use some of the newer cards.

I'm curious about the implications and how it's practiced. I'm guessing it's very similar to Judaic law as far as how its practiced in America.

I'm asking for honest, objective opinions. If you mention Obama, You're not paying attention.

I'm addressing the elephant in the room. No offense is intended.

Lets pretend that group X has been arriving on our shores in increasing numbers. They have small communities all over the US. They work and have families. A handful of disgruntled youths in group X have committed acts of barbaric inhumanity.

Suddenly, Group X is under heavy scrutiny by the public. Under the eyes of public opinion, they should all be collectively held responsible for the acts of the few. The food they eat, the religion they practice, the clothes they wear are mocked and used to portray them as backwards and primitive. Forces are organized against Group X. Soon, words turn to action and bloodshed.

At this point, Things have gotten horrific. The disgruntled youth of group X have grown and also be become more organized.

What is the government's ethical and legal response to this?

Serious answers only.

Those that can afford it would have an advantage over those that can't.

We're sending more and more contracts to companies, to feed and supply material goods. It would be good for the economy, right?

Speaking as an atheist, I'm bothered by how the media never shows the positive works done by those of faith. Its truly an unbalanced view.

The Enron fiasco suggests as such.

They generally do 2 things. They protect rescuers from being sued if the rescuer was acting in good faith and following procedure. They also require bystanders to act if some is injured or a victim of a violent crime. (calling 911,etc...)
