My husband and I sent a small-ish amount of money to a 17 year old relative in Russia via Western Union, but learned after we had placed the order online that minors are not legally able to collect money this way in Russia. Since we would still like him to receive the money, I'm wondering if it's possible to add a parent to the recipient list (from what I've read on the internet: no) or if there's any other way around this. Does anyone have any experience canceling a money order via WU? Is it as simple as it ought to be?

The rental unit (a single family home) of a friend was destroyed by an electrical fire originating in the garage (determined not to be the fault of the tenants by the fire department) in California. Does anyone have any experience/knowledge on what to do following such an event? I suspect the lease can be legally terminated under such circumstances and the unused rent and deposit returned accordingly. There is a publication entitled "Damaged or Destroyed Residential Rental Units: A Fact Sheet for Landlords and Tenants," which likely has the relevant information, but is only available as a hard copy (I've ordered it, but it will take a few days to arrive). If anyone can offer any guidance or advice, it would be much appreciated.

We bought a 2011 Ford Fusion at auction last week and the key (yes, only one) has mysteriously disappeared. Does anyone know the approximate cost of having a completely new key programmed for the car?

The previous tenants in our house had a cat. Aside from peeing all over the carpets in the three carpeted bedrooms, they seem to have left fleas. My husband slept on the floor the first two nights here and got 15 bites (I was on an air mattress; no bites). Due to the smell we took out all the carpets today; will this also resolve the flea problem? We also have a 3 month old baby, so I'm hoping we don't need to release any poisonous gases into the house.

I followed everything at the beginning, kneaded, and set the bread in a warmed (but off) oven covered for two hours. By the end, it had hardly risen. Maybe it was 30% larger than the original dough-ball. Full disclosure: the dough was a little dry when I was kneading it. I thought it would be okay.

What I'm wondering is: should I just let it rise for another couple of hours, hoping it needs more time? Would it help to re-knead the bread and start from the beginning? Is there anything I can do to salvage it?!

I swear I saw her (Maci) sitting on the couch in a brief shot. She never talks or gets introduced. I'm pretty sure they live in different states. Is it just me?? Anyone else notice this?
