I'd like to get a bag for my gaming dice. I already have a perfectly good felt one, but I'd like something a bit more elaborate. What I'm looking for is a pouch embroidered with genuine arcane imagery. By 'genuine' I mean that the person who made it fully believes in its mystic power. Wards, runes, symbols of power or protection, that sort of thing - from any mystic or religious tradition. If I have to buy a bunch runestones or divining shards or what have you to get ahold of the bag, that's acceptable. Any ideas where I might get such a thing?

(Preferably over the internet, as I reside far from the ancient lands where I imagine these would be more common)

Preferably translated into English.

If you know, or know where to find figures for other voyages, such as England-South Africa, or the Orient, that would also be useful.

When I'm bored, I often feel like firing up a game to kill a few moments. Unfortunately most of the fun ones have multiple interminably long loading screens.

Are there any good games that go from start to fun in under 10s?

I've got an ASUS P5Q motherboard and Windows vista 32bit

I want to set up an old computer to be a basement sound system. It needs to play mp3s, and that's about it. I need a free OS (so that's Linux then) that doesn't take much hard-drive space, and doesn't need much RAM or CPU power.

I used to use an older version Kerio Firewall but that no longer runs under vista.

I want a firewall that:

Has a clean, simple interface,

Can be fully configured (I want to be able to restrict certain programs to cetain adresses on certain ports)

Runs quickly and doesn't use much ram

Doesn't have annoying popups (or at least has an option to turn them off)

Ideally, is free,

and finally, works on Vista.

What do you recommend?

I play a russian-themed army in the miniature fantasy wargame Warmachine.

I want to name my big stompy robots after men (or battleships) of exceptional awesomeness. The game is fantasy, so I want to avoid any names too strongly linked with the real world. (Calling a biggest, stompiest robot "Stalin", would, I suspect, be in bad taste)

Anyone know some appropriate names?

I've got two ethernet cables. I want to to connect them, so they work like a single cable. In my big pile of tech, I found a little connection with two female ports, but I think it's broken.

Anyone know what it's called, so I can go look for a working one?

I'm considering starting a polyphasic sleep regime, and I figured taking naps at times when a pre-existing group of workers take a break for a few minutes would be minimally disruptive.

I got a new widescreen monitor, and found that my on-board graphics don't support the native resolution of 1440x900.

I don't have a PCIe slot, and don't need fast graphics.

Do you know a card that suits these requirements?

I think the ideal solution is to take a per-pixel average of each of the three colour channels.
