Iowa is a 50-50 state when it comes to divorce and child custody in MOST cases. But here's the thing..... I'm a disabled Woman with seizures and a slightly lower IQ than average person. However, i work with children in a daycare and have SSI(a guaranteed income). Could my disability be held against me in a custody case? Or does my daycare position and guaranteed SSI payments help me get partial or even full custody?

I was diagnosed with a seizure disorder at birth (1995) but i have Epileptic seizures because they occur due to misfiring in my brain. (Complex Partial: Gran mal) and later diagnosed with simple Partials in 2018

I'm confused. What's the difference? FYI: I do have brain damage due to blood loss if that affects the answer.

I have a name picked out. It's pronounced Nigh-O-me not Nay-O-me (Naomi).

Can you get married if you're on SSI? And what's the deal of getting married before 50 or 60? SSI is confusing. I hear different things.

I'm 22 and live in Iowa. I'm on SSI because I have epilepsy. I am considered "border-lined" when it comes to my IQ according to the state. My mom is both my guardian and my payee. I am very high-functioning, could I eventually drop my mom as my guardian and payee with her permission.

I'm going to adopt a kitten from a shelter soon. I've picked one out and filled out the paperwork. The only thing is, I don't like the name the shelter gave him. His name is currently, 'Tinsel'. He needs a new name.

He is a tiger-stripe kitten that climbs and shows a lot of love with purring and rubbing his head on you. He's about 3 months old.

I don't want to name him so thing common like Simba, Max, Leo. I also don't want to give him a name like socks' Boots, etc. I want to give him a 'real' name, 'human' name I guess.

I'm trying to figure out a title of a song I heard.

Some of the lyrics are, "you're my ecstasy" and it's sang by a man. It is a faster song. Possibly a rock song.
