I have been a Christian for 29 years, been trained in indigenious cross cultural church planting (missionary) and am looking forward to the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. I am able to handle the strong meat of the Word but consider myself a child in the knowledge of God's grace and love. I am just splashing about on the shore of an infinite ocean of knowledge of Jesus. If you are genuine I will spend time and expend effort to help you in any way I can. If you need help concerning salvation, just mail, I can lead you to Jesus who is willing to save. It is all of Him, nothing of ourselves. Carl Jones - A sinner saved by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. I am just journeying through, looking for. and waiting for His return. Please mail me about being a contact, if you don't allow me to mail you or contact to you then you will be blocked - Contacts are 2-way in my opinion.

  • How do you describe a sunset to a blind man?

Christians in trying to explain scriptural truths or describing the character of God to an unsaved person do you find it like trying to describe a sunset to a blind man?

1 Corinthians 2:14 But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

  • Christians why do you insist you are a saved sinner?

I did say the "four cow wife" was just an illustration and a crude one at that.

Yes it is true that while we were yet sinners, Christ loved us and gave Himself for us, but at the moment we trust Christ for salvation He does something for us - He puts us to death, we are crucified with Him, He does not leave us sinners IN HIS SIGHT, He makes us a new creation in Him, and we are indwelt by the Holy Spirit.

As I said earlier, we are never called saved sinners in Scripture, now that is different from saying we never sin, He has made provision for us when we do sin - Confession.

God sees us as perfect in Christ.

I used the illustration to show how a person can see their worth to another and as a result of that deport themselves accordingly. Do you not see your worth as a saint to God, if you did you would also deport yourself accordingly.

    The epistle to the Ephesians states;

    To the "saints" at Ephesus.

To the "faithful in Christ Jesus"

We have been blessed with ALL "spiritual blessings"

He has "predestined us to adoption as sons"

He has made us "accepted in the beloved"

"The eyes of our understanding have been enlightened"

We have been sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise"

"We may know what is the hope of His calling"

"We may know the riches of the glory of His inheritance"

We have been "made alive in Him"

We have been "raised up with Christ"

We have been made to "sit in heavenly places"

In the time to come He will show the "exceeding riches of His grace" through Christ Jesus.

    We are "His workmanship"

We are "created to good works"

We are made "nigh unto God" by the blood of Christ,

    We have "peace with God"

    We are "reconciled to God"

We have "access to God" by the Spirit, through Christ.

    We are "fellow citizens"

We are being "built up as a habitation of God"

These are just a few of the things we have been brought into in Christ, yet instead of thinking on these things, of all that our Bridegroom has given to us, some prefer to call themselves a "saved sinner" something God NEVER calls us, do you not KNOW the position you have been elevated to, IN CHRIST?

Think on what the Lord Jesus Christ has done for you, not on what you were when you were WITHOUT CHRIST.

You are of infinite worth in Christ, He didn't just pay the bridal price for us, He has lifted us up to a point that if He did any more it would breach the Godhead.

    NOW WALK WORTHY.

  • Christians, why do you insist you are a saved sinner?

This is a common mistake made by Christians, to call themselves "saved sinners" Nowhere in Scripture are we called saved sinners, redeemed sinners or blood bought sinners, so why do we call ourselves something God does not?

We are called, sanctified, saints, redeemed. children of God, sons, one new man, followers of the Way, Christians, anointed ones, we are viewed as crucified with Christ, babes in Christ, in Christ, yes we are also called carnal, however that is a rebuke, something that God sees as an aberration, something which is a deviation from the norm, failing to meet a standard.

Let me illustrate how we should see ourselves, as God sees us, please forgive me in that it is a very crude illustration.

There is a people group who have a custom where the men would pay a dowry to the father of a bride, this would consist of one to four cows. Four cows would be paid if the intended bride was young, beautiful and having social graces, three cows would be paid if one of these attributes was missing, two cows if two attributes were missing, down to one cow if she was neither, young, beautiful or having any social graces.

There was a man in this village who paid the brides father the full bride price of four cows. This caused a certain amount of gossip as even on a good day, the bride could realistically only be valued as a two cow wife. The men openly laughed when they saw this man passing by who they thought had been ripped off, even the women thought he had been duped. One day as his wife was collecting water, he stood in the centre of the village and said with a loud voice; "People of the village, listen to me, you think I overpaid my father-in-law for the price of my wife. Yes I paid four cows and you laugh, but did you see how my wife deported herself when she thought she was only a two cow wife, then how she deported herself when she realised I valued her as being worth four cow? My friends, believe me, she truly is worth four cows as you can evidently see. The villagers had to agree and saw how blessed both the wife and the bridegroom were.

Christians, Jesus saw that we were worth four cows, the world may laugh but I will deport myself as a four cow wife and not as anything less.

This is why I view myself clothed in the righteousness of Christ, not as an aberration to the Father or the Son.

How do you see yourself, from the perspective of Jesus Christ or from some other perspective?

  • Who, out of the original millions are still alive?

In 1920, Joseph F. Rutherford (the then president of the Jehovah's witnesses) published a booklet, "Millions Now Living Will Never Die". My question directed primarily to Jehovah's witnesses, but also open to others who may know the answer is; "Who out of those millions are still alive"?

  • Atheists, why so angry?

Since you contend God does not exist, why are you so angry at Him, why do you see the need to constantly abuse and insult Him? I have never ridiculed the Flying Spaghetti Monster, in fact until this question I have never even mentioned it, I feel no need to be angry at it nor abuse or insult it, why? because to me it doesn't exist.

  • Jehovah's Witnesses are you honest?

    The Scriptures teach that the greatest commandments are;

Mar 12:29 "The most important one," answered Jesus, "is this: 'Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one.

Mar 12:30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.

Mar 12:31 The second is this: Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these."

My question is; "Do you honestly love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength?

Remember that God knows your heart and He knows if He is not loved 100% by you.

Do you honestly love your neighbor as yourself?

In light of "loving your neighbour as yourself," please explain how shunning family members fits in with this.

Remember that God knows your heart and He knows if you do not love others 100%.

    Taken from March 2013 issue of Watchtower magazine;

Pleasing God is not complicated. All that he requires of us can be summed up in a single word: love. That has always been—and will always be—the essence of true worship. But love is not just a matter of words or feelings; it is expressed in action. (1 John 3:18)

Why not learn how you can cultivate and demonstrate your love for Jehovah, the God who “is love”?—1 John 4:8. ˇ

Remember to answer honestly - God sees the heart.

  • Christians where do you do your best witnessing?

I have had four heart attacks and lost 70% of my blood due to internal bleeding from a lacerated spleen, as a result I have spent a fair bit of time in intensive care wards. I have found that it is at these times that I have a profitable time witnessing to others regarding where they stand before a holy, righteous God.

How about you, where do you have a profitable time witnessing, is it at the hairdressers, fishing, long bus journey? I think for me it is because I know I will have a certain amount of time with that person. How about you I'm sure many would like to hear of these times.

Do you give a thumbs up for an answer you believe to be in line with God's Word, even if it comes from someone you know isn't a Christian, will you give a thumb down to an answer which you see as contrary to God's Word even if that person is a friend and you know is a Christian?

  • Jehovah's Witnesses is this honest?

I have noticed a number of questions being asked by Jehovah's Witnesses where answers which are in context and give an answer from Scripture are ignored and instead a trite reply which agrees with their opinions is given best answer. My main question is this; Is this what your God expects of his witnesses, that you ignore Scripture and only give best answer to people who are also Jehovah's Witnesses?

1 Corinthians 3:4 For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I [am] of Apollos; are ye not carnal?
