How much material makes up the kuiper belt?
If we were to somehow clump all of it together, how large would it be? plausibly could it all have been a planet would you think?

1 AntwortLanguagesvor 7 JahrenCoping with Post Runner's Knee/Popping?
So at the end of last summer I had an issue of runner's knee on my right leg - first time ever; It's healed up as far as I know - the doc says its in fantastic shape what with all my fitness routines but ever since then my knee has this urge to pop and not after doing 15-20 knee extensions does it go away (I am curious to see should that be of any concern??).
I'm quite confident my fitness levels are surpass the avg athlete, as far as I know if anything I'm fitter then ever - I can squat near double my weight no issue there which I know you need strong knees for
But... I think the damage was more physiological since this was the first time something had ever literally halted my momentum. I just don't feel like I'm what I use to be and sitting around probably isn't helping - I am a avid runner - I love it and can't see myself not doing it any length of time down the road; Prior to my injury, weekly I use to knock down 20-30 miles no problem - doing half a marathon literally every other week no problem. Now I am just unsure about doing anything more then 4 miles - yet I running as fast as ever. I'm just confused, is this just all in my head??
1 AntwortRunningvor 7 JahrenWeak knee/runners knee?
I'm a very avid runner to say the least....
Ever since I started 6 years ago, I've ran everywhere I've went - never could stand walking; spring, summer, fall, winter - didn't matter what season or weather, I've ran through it all. I was avg. atleast 30-50 miles per week at my peak - typically ending weekends with half a marathon run.
Anyways up until 4 or so months ago I decided to do two back to back 15 mile runs - ever since then I've had a strange 'injury' of sorts on my right knee. My knee felt weak and a minor amount of pain - I looked up into it and figured it was runners knee so I took a good month off of hardcore running (severely aggravating for someone like me) and sure enough my knee felt up to speed again and I've taken off with a big smile on my face;
However there's always this sensation that my knee feels somehow "weaker" than it use to be - I cant quite describe it. If it was 'pain' then it is the most miniscule if even noticeable pain I've ever had - the knee itself just feels off. Whenever I extend it while at rest, the knee joint makes almost a 'grinding' underneath the skin. Even though its so benign it still had gotten me rather nerve-wrecked because of future plans on being in the military, I need the integrity of my knees to be flawless.
Because of it I've been taking the time to fully warm up prior to running - even started to do a daily 'yoga' in the morning the fully get my body prepared for the day; when fully warmed up, my running is flawless, I feel no discomfort of weakness - but as soon as I stop that weak sensation returns again. Because of this I've dropped the mileage a week to about 15-20 and been doing so less on concrete (I've noticed no decrease in power or speed)
What exactly is this? Am I going to have problems in the future or what's the deal?
I've heard the controversial "running on asphalt" - and "running ruins cartilage/knees" stories a lot but I'd like some straight up answers from anyone with REAL running experience.
1 AntwortRunningvor 8 JahrenQuestion about radiation?
Would it be possible to convert radioactive particles into a visible spectrum for the human eye to see? - and if so How????
Often I see depictions of radioactive material given a sickly green aura/glow about them; I'm curious if there is some form of chemical reaction that takes/could take place that would make it feasible for objects or even a biological to have a stereotypical fluorescent glow about them?
4 AntwortenPhysicsvor 8 JahrenBlack Hole/singularity question?
From what I'm aware singularities can/do spin - I'm curious would this added momentum at all affect the general shape shape/field of the event horizon?
The earth is bulging at its equator due to the speed of its rotation; Im aware that there is no exact "definition/mass" that makes up/defines the boundary of an event horizon and at first though I assumed no - but is it possible/true that it the shape of it could be oblong such as the shape of the earth?

Had a little more than 200 lbs crash on my face tonight and split just above my eyelid, fairly deep near to the bone and roughly an inch across. kept it pressed and the bleeding stopped; however its still gaping. I've been flushing it with rubbing alcohol to keep it clean; i'm assuming it'll heal just fine without stitches. But I'm asking just to be sure so i don't lose an eye to infection or something.

I have been looking into this for quite sometime and i have yet to find a decent murder in which to show my little girl in person; They rarely happen where I live, and when they do its never a proper one and its a little bit boring. Does anyone know a good location to see a murder of crows in Washington State? I'd DEEPLY appreciate. She really loves birds
