I just graduated college and secured my first full time job. I have a credit score of 688 because I've had to max out my credit card a few times throughout my four years at school. I have budgeted out my money for the next two years and have a plan to pay off my credit card, my reserve line of credit, and my car loan (my only forms of debt) all by December 8th of this year. If everything goes according to plan, I am wondering when I can expect to see an increase in my credit score and how high I can expect to see it jump.

I am from Wisconsin and a decent amount of my friends and their families eat raw beef mixed with onions (I am told it is a German tradition or something). When I tell these friends about the dangers of E. coli complications, they say that the beef they eat raw is specifically made to be E. coli free... I m wondering if or how this is possible considering the beef is still uncooked. The E. coli bacteria is a natural microbiont of the cow s digestive tract, right? How would one eliminate this without cooking..? Is the beef pasteurized or what?

I recently started drinking protein shakes but, being a busy college student, I have not been able to work out. I woke up this morning and all of my muscles were sore! I do walk around campus quite a bit so are the protein shakes already helping me build muscle from just going about my everyday activites? Or is it something else?

I am currently a biology major planning to attend medical school. I am about to enter my fourth semester of college but my GPA is not as high as I would like it to be. I am fairly certain I will not get into medical school so I am trying to brainstorm other career paths I could take after finishing my undergrad. I would still like a career in the medical field or maybe something with research. Any ideas or websites that would help me figure it out would be greatly appreciated.

I took three years of spanish in high school and placed into fourth semester spanish my freshman year of college.. The class didn't fit into my schedule, however, and I'm taking fourth semester spanish in the fall of my sophomore year (starting in September 2014). I was laying in bed and I sneezed. After that, I immediately felt pain in my back.. it's not my lower back, it's more like just below where my shoulder blades end. It hurts a lot when I take a deep breath or sniffle and also when I hunch forward or bend over...it doesn't hurt at all, however, when I arch my back. I googled it and the only articles I found involved chest pain as well. I don't have any chest pain though.. just a painful tightness in my back! It hurts so much that I'm afraid to sniffle... I'm only 19 years old and I feel like this sort of back pain shouldn't be happenibg at this age.. should I go to the emergency room?

I need to be more independent and get my own health insurance. I'm a full time student and my university offers a health insurance plan that costs a little under $2,000 per year but someone told me I should first look into plans available through the Affordable Care Act. How do I find an affordable plan right for me? I'm not even sure which professionals to ask about it..

First, I found the volume of the room and converted it to cm^3.. and I assumed that 1cm^3 = 1mL, so I was able to convert the volume to mL. I then used the D=m/v equation to find the mass in grams and converted it to kg... I got 76.74 kg but that answer is wrong... Please help! Walk me through it!

My friend was driving home this morning around 7:00 am when her back tire popped... There was a hole that you could fit your thumb through in the tire. Tonight, she was driving home from work around 9:30 pm when her other tired popped. Again, there was a hole that you could fit your thumb through. We find this to be incredibly suspicious. What are the odds of that happening...?

She has been telling me that her tires are pretty bald but when I look at them they seem fine. Could this have anything to do with it? Also, we live in Wisconsin and it is currently a little below zero... Could the extreme cold have anything to do with it???

I am currently a high school senior interested in majoring in Biochemistry. So far I have been accepted to University of Twin Cities-Minnesota and University of Madison-Wisconsin but I am still waiting on my replies from Stanford and Columbia University. I realize that I have a very small chance of getting into a Ivy League school so right now I am trying to decide between Minnesota and Madison. Which school would be better for a biochemistry major?

Let f be the function given by f(x) = 3e^2x and let g by the function given by g(x) = 6x^3. At what value of x do the graphs of f and g have parallel tangent lines?

so first i found the derivative of both functions and set them equal to each other. I got:

6e^2x = 18x^2... i then simplified to:

e^2x = 3x^2... i have no idea to solve for x though... please lead me through the steps; I am trying to understand the problem. I already know the answer but I need to know how to solve this because it is to prepare me for an upcoming AP Calculus I test...
