Hi, my name is Ian. I was raised by my mom and dad a Methodist. They taught me to be above all else true to myself. Although I was raised a Methodist protestant at 14 I became an atheist and at 19 a Taoist. I value love and logic above all else (they can coexist). This of course leads to an admiration of aesthetics and debate. But I really enjoy being outdoors in my beautiful home state of Oregon.

  • Democrat Vs. Republican?

    Wrap your head around this one: If you're supportive of Republic of the United States of America's controls on land, economics and healthcare the government classifies you as a Democrat. If you want the Republic of the United States of America to have little to no controls on your life, land or healthcare then you're a Republican. Can anyone explain how the Democrates are more supportive of the Republic's power then the Republicans. (I'm refering to relevant power . . . not military power)

    This of course is not focused on the actual views of the parties because I have them clearly stated, but rather it pionts a focus on the rather idiotic naming of the opposing parties. Can anyone explain how they botched this one?

  • Public domain?

    I've asked this before, didn't get what I wanted. How do I go about getting proof of public domain that I can prove in court. Also I don't want to contant a copyright lawyer (low budget project).

  • Ripping DVD's?

    Before you critisize me, I am not using this to break copyright law. I have some old dvd's of family reunions that I no longer have on my harddrive. So I need to rip the info off the DVD's but I don't have a good program to do it. Any suggestions?

  • Is Global Climate change a bipartisan issue?

    I seriously don't think that Global Climate is a Bipartisan issue. This is a human issue that we cannot ignore. I know libertarians and radical democrats who can sit around the table and agree on Global Climate change. Can you convince me otherwise?

  • Blood Pressure Problem?

    Yeah this is a wierd one when it comes to blood pressure. I have really low blood pressure, and it's starting to worry me. My stats are Systolic: 92.25(On an average of 4 tests) and my Diastolic: 54.25 (On an average). Now usually I'm only 10 or less away from normal so I haven't worried, but now it's always 10 or more below. Should I be worried?
