We are in college.

Keep in mind you just met each other like a week or two ago and are barely acquaintances.

it's practically every class...and many times he finishes assignments early and goes out of the room. I go out later and find him waiting for me outside. I thought that was funny because he could easily e-mail me through school website and his questions are never that urgent...

I tell him he can email me and he says okay but the next time he still asks me questions LOL.

Even today, we were taking a test and he got done early. I got done about 10 minutes later and went out the classroom door, noticing that outside he was waiting for me. He then says he's waiting to ask me another question about school. I tell him and he says "ok" and I say I have to go home now, and he says "Umm...." and then says "Never mind... bye!" with a smile.

is this guy really into me or something??? or what is going on?

its just so weird...not creepy..but weird..

Is there a certain strategy to get an interview at Starbucks for barista position?

I put in an application the other day and already followed up with a call and the manager said she would look at my application right away. I haven't heard anything at all.

I've tried multiple times last year and never get a call and it's frustrating me now.

I don't really get why i'm not getting calls because i'm persistent and i'm always friendly and call up the manager periodically to let her know i'm interested. she says she will call back and i hear nothing.

How do you get an interview with starbucks???? and is there a strategy for getting hired????

My mom is 49 and wants to apply at starbucks to work as a barista because she is unemployed at the moment.

Does Starbucks discriminate against age and is she too old?????

Do they tend to hire younger people not older????

I got a message saying that I need to be somewhere "Tuesday eve".

What does that mean???? does that mean evening or no specific time?

Well I just got a job in a very high volume fast food restaurant and my employees tell me that I'm not confident enough and seem nervous.... I also need to speak "loud" but for some reason my voice starts getting smaller when I get nervous...

How do I relax and speak louder????? I'm naturally kinda shy person....so its a challenge for me...

That is my main issue with this job...the fact that I have to be outgoing

Yesterday was my first day working at a fast food restaurant. I handled the drive thru and they trained me a little but had me do quite of stuff at the drive thru MYSELF...and i almost lost my mind because i was not trained that well....

Because of that, I got orders wrong and pretty much handed out the wrong drink and food to some customers. I was apologetic and fixed the problem for them but I had tough time with the headset and doing all these things at once.

Am I going to survive???? I've learned the computer order thing very well but I had really tough time multitasking. Because I was multitasking I gave out the wrong order multiple times..and the manager was there looking at me....

It was my first day of training but still i'm worried that i'll get into trouble.

Will I get into trouble or will they let it go and just have me keep learning??? I'm a fast learner but I'm not catching onto to this as fast as I would like....I have no experience in restaurant...

If the EP (edible portion) cost for one pound of salmon is $4.40 and the AP (as purchased) price per pound of salmon is $3.25, what is the number of edible ounces you can expect to get from one raw pound of this food product?

is this correct : 3.25/4.40 = 74% edible ounces

Anyone know the hourly wage for crew members at Raising Cane's (fast food chicken restaurant)???

Well I have been trying to get this job at a fast food place for quite a long while. I called in again today and he said that I need to come in and fill out another application. He says he has my other application on file but needs me to fill out another one. He schedules a time later in the week for me to come in so I can "sit down with him and have a talk".

what do you think this means???? I have been trying forever for this job and feel like this is good news. Is this an indication that he's going to try to work something out with me so I can be hired or?

I just checked my status for nevada unemployment and am waiting for an answer whether or not i got approved for unemployment benefits. Well, I checked the website and by status it says "IS"...

I know it means "issued" but what does that mean???

Does this mean I got approved???? Or does it not mean anything.....i'm waiting for an answer to whether or not it got approved or not....

If the restaurant wanted to increase the current profits by 50%, how many additional customers would need to be served?

current profit = 325,000 * 0.5 = 162,500 (so they wanna increase by 162,500)

1,500,000 / $18 = 83,333

1,050,000 / 83,333 = 12.60

Average check - Variable costs/guest = 18 - 12.60 = 5.40

What do I do next??? I'm stuck .... I know I have to divide something by the 5.40...and I was thinking that you would have to add the fixed income + desired net income and then divide by 5.40 but i'm not sure....

I am korean too but I grew up in the states and I don't speak korean well. Well, i'm in college and there are so many international students from korea in my classes so I know some people and are friends with some. I am particularly friends with one from one of my classes. The problem is since I don't speak korean well i often get nervous when around her and our conversation is always awkward :X I think she senses i'm nervous or uncomfortable too.

I wanna relax and just speak without concerning about my accent or how I talk but I stiffen up.

How do I just relax and just talk without making things awkward???? we get along really well and i'm a pleasant person...i just get self conscious on my korean so i hold back and get nervous...

The conversation we have never gets anywhere because i make things to the point and i don't think she minds too much because she always laughs it off when things get awkward....

It's mostly because i'm afraid that i'll say something that sounds weird or my accent will come out. :( How can I stop being nervous?? She's only been in the states for awhile so her english isn't good, so we can't communicate in english.......

There's this one online friend I have that I found out we go to the same school and we are even in the same class at my university. We were so happy we had the same class and she's very friendly online and says she'll see me at school.

She definitely knows what I look like and I know who she is too. The other day I saw her after class ended. I greeted her and smiled but she just has this blank look on her face and walks by saying nothing to me. She obviously knows who I am too.

I don't really understand. We started talking through facebook and found out we are in the same class and same major, so we became friends through that.

Why do you think she didn't say hi or smile back at me???? I mean we already became friends online...although we haven't talked in real life. I was kinda hurt she didn't say anything back. Online she is so friendly but she didn't seem receptive at all to me saying hi to her. She acted like she didn't even know me, when she knows what I look like and she's seen me before in class.
