Ist meine Figur strandtauglich?
Es ist so dass ich noch vor einem Jahr ein ziemlich schmächtiges Kerlchen war, noch weitaus dünner als heute. Durch fleißiges Futtern und etwas Training habe ich ein paar Kilo zugelegt. Jetzt meine Frage: Würdet ihr sagen dass ich mein festes Ziel, einen strandtauglichen Körper zu bekommen nach dem sich zumindest die ein oder andere Badenixe umdreht, erreicht habe oder ist da eher noch Luft nach oben. Die Tatsache dass ich noch weiß bin wie eine Kalkleiste bitte ausblenden!

I read it many years ago but I can not remember the title or the author.
The story is about a very little interstellar spacecraft and its crew of seven or eight persons. They are on a journey to a close stellar system which is supposed to take several years. To spend their time for something useful they start making scientific experiments of a kind that could as well have been done on earth. For example one of the crew members throws a coin thousands of times and generates a kind of revolutionary statistic theory out of the results.
In the end they find out about the real purpose of their expedition. The true plan was to put some intelligent people into the isolation of a spacecraft just to let them do what they are doing all the time: scientific research.
The story ends with the announcement of one crew member that they would return to earth. Thanks to the briliant scientific progress they have made the crew can cross the way of several lightyears in only one or two days.
