3 AntwortenOther - Musicvor 1 JahrzehntSeperation Anxiety in 2.y.o. Cavalier King Charles?
My Cavalier King Charles is just over 2 years old. We've had him since he was 10 weeks old, without any problem. He settled straight in, none of the usual puppy dramas. His training went well, and he's an all round good boy. He's always been a little clingy, but recently whenever he is left alone even if we're just in the next room and he knows this he goes absolutely mental, barking, scratching, howling etc. He only stops when he is let out of his crate and someone sits in the kitchen with him. It has nothing to do with his crate - even if he is loose in the kitchen and we're not with him, he goes berzerk. This has only come on in the last week or so. Also he's barking at night now, constantly until someone goes down to him.
Is this seperation anxiety? And if so, how can I coax him out of it fast? It's really stressing my mum out and she says if he doesn't stop, we'll have to get rid of him, and I don't want to lose him, but he's really making it impossible for us to do anything at all outside of the kitchen, where he stays. He wont even stay in the yard on his own anymore.

3 AntwortenDogsvor 1 JahrzehntQuick Tattoo Question? Any Advice?
I got a tattoo 2 days ago (Wednesday) and I just need a little help. I've read just about every aftercare guide I can find on the internet and they're all very helpful apart from one area..
I'm using bepanthan, which I swear by, but do I put it on while my tattoo has scabbed? I've done it for my other three but this is my first big tattoo and I'm so worried about wrecking it since it was a present off my parents for my 21st...
Any advice?
6 AntwortenTattoosvor 1 JahrzehntWhat has everyone got against smiley piercings?
And piercings in general but more-so, the smiley piercing. I recently had my smiley pierced and i love it. People only see when i choose to show them and thats how i like it. It's fun to play with with my tongue and it's just awesome fullstop. Its also my 19th piercing so it's fair to say i love them.
So what I wanna know is.. what have people got against them? And other piercings? If you don't like a piercing, thats fine but the people who have them obviously like them. A piercing is for the person who has it, not for anyone else. It's a very personal decision which doesn't give people the right to go on and on about how useless they are and whatnot. Most things in life are pretty useless, so why are piercings so heavily focused on?
5 AntwortenOther - Skin & Bodyvor 1 JahrzehntIs It Acne? And How Can I Get Rid Of It?
This question isn't for me but for my friend who has no internet for the time being. Basically, she wants some tips so I said you guys would help (:
She wants to know if she has acne. Since Ive never had it I cant tell her with any certainty. She does seem to 'break out', especially when the weather changes, but only with a handful of spots, usually no more three or four at the most. However they are quite large spots. However under her skin are hundreds of little 'bumps' that look like theyre turning into spots, but never do, and never disappear. You can see them clearly but if you run your finger over her skin it feels smooth to the touch.. which confuses us both!
She wants to know how to treat the spots and how to get rid of the bumps. She's tried exfoliating facewash and it doesn't do anything for her. She'd be very grateful for some answers which I can pass on to her.
6 AntwortenOther - Skin & Bodyvor 1 JahrzehntHow To Put It Nicely Regarding Fleas Please? [Longish]?
So I love my best friend and her family to bits. I usually stay at hers between 1 and 3 nights every week. We're very close and nothing could change that.
There's one problem; Fleas. Her cat had a litter of kittens about 14 weeks ago and they have since found new homes, but they were infested with fleas. The fleas then went onto their dog and he had a flea problem, lost a lot of his fur and had scabby patches etc. They havent got a lot of money and couldn't take him to the vet. I know this is bad but please don't judge her or her family for it. Thats not the nature of this question. However as I said the kittens have been rehomed and the dogs skin is clearing up. However! There are still fleas in the house and on the dog. I've seen them on him and moved away from him, but as they are in the house keeping away from the dog isn't going to do much good. I stopped there for 2 nights, coming home today, and have returned with over 30 flea bites on my body. They never seem to get bitten so they arent having a problem. They say that they've used spot-on flea treatments on the dog, and on the cat, and are giving the dog flea tablets but if that were true the fleas would not still be on the dog so I find it a little hard to believe. Also they say they've used the flea spray stuff for upholstery, but I cant see this being true either since the fleas would be dead and gone by now.
I've tried to hint that the fleas arent gone and my friend has said they'll be gone soon cuz of the things theyve used but.. I doubt it. I dont want it to come between us but I dont really want to keep going round to hers and coming back bitten as hell, and I dont want it to affect our friendship..
Any advice?
2 AntwortenOther - Petsvor 1 Jahrzehnti'm sure my piercing is infected, what do I do?
I got my nose done just under 2 weeks ago. I know it's bad, but it was done with a gun. However I've had it done before, with a gun, with no problems whatsoever. In fact I had less problems than my friend did who had hers done with a needle. It was pierced with a normal gold stud, the type that go in your ears, which is what I had last time without problem. I was told to clean it with surgical spirits and it seemed to be helping really well, then after about 6 days of having it pierced, everytime I breathed out, my stud was getting pushed out of my nose completely. Weird I know, but I was going to lose the stud and my piercing, so I had no choice but to put a little ring through it - a 1mm, I'm not sure of guage sizes. 18 guage I think, but don't quote me on it! Well since then it's extremely red and Im having a lot of crusty build up both outside and inside my nostril and when I clean it I'm noticing what can only be described as pus seeping out. I've had 18 piercings so far but all my other cartilage ones have healed without a problem, so I'm at a loss as to what to do. I know the most sensible thing would be to take it out but I really don't want to. I had it done before and took it out, let it heal up, and I regretted it.
I'm wondering if anyone can give me some help? Please bare in mind I live in the UK so may not be able to get certain products over here, but any help would be much appreciated. (:
