My wife left me, but never mentioned the word divorce... what now?
7 weeks ago my wife left me. I was a good husband. She knows it, my friends knew it.. her friends new it... her parents knew it. She just felt like she wasn't meant to be married and was dealing with a lot of weird emotional things I don't understand. We saw a counselor, but it didn't change how she felt. We met young and 7.5 years later married, and we were married for 2.5 years.
After she left, she never filed for divorce, or even mentioned the word. She just said she needed to leave, but at the same time, she made it semi clear that she was done. This wasn't my decision. I don't want a divorce, so I don't want to file. What do I do? Do I just wait around? It's sort of hard to move on with my life. It's really weird. She hasn't changed her marital status on Facebook, she hasn't really done ANYTHING but move out with her Mom and take all her stuff. She talks to me on and off. She's just working A LOT and sounds like she's trying to just figure out her life. I've always been the provider, so I am okay without her. I payed for everything. She left a really good life... so confusing.
What should I do? Wait? I'm afraid to try to push her along because she hasn't had a great past of making good decisions. Even though she left, she has STILL left me in limbo. What would you do?
9 AntwortenMarriage & Divorcevor 8 JahrenHow Do I Stay In Business?
Hello!
I need to vent and I need some advice. Hopefully someone with REAL advice and experience can help.
I want to be very frank with you. I'm in a place where I am scared. I have been an owner of my business for about 7-8 years. Things went very well. We quickly grew and grew. We went from running out of a garage to now having a warehouse with employees. It was great. I got married, and was very happy. I had a business partner. We were 50/50 partners.
This last year, our business had some hard times. Business slowed down a lot, and put us way behind financially. Most of those pains came from losing a couple large contracts all at once. We didn't have much control of this loss. This drove my business partner into retirement this last month. I, myself, am young. I'm 28 years old. We thought with the hard times, having my business partner retire (he is older, and he wanted to retire soon anyway), I would be able to pump his portion of the pay back into the business. It might be too late. We are so far backed up, that 1 of my vendors have cut me off of some products that I need. I am working hard to fix things and get rolling.
I still have many great customers that I do business with, and I feel like my business is worth something, but I am behind. Technically, about $20k behind with some vendors. Paying them off is what I'd need to feel comfortable again to keep pushing forward. That doesn't mean I'm not in any other debt though. It's just what I need NOW.
At what point do I decide to throw in the towel? What now? What do I do?
I am afraid this business is now going to ruin my life, and it's starting to depress me. I am too young to be in this much debt, and be failing at this. I don't want it to end this way, but I am starting to feel overwhelmed!
I don't have a lot of people to talk to about this, so any recommendations, or support would be helpful.
Thank you.
2 AntwortenSmall Businessvor 8 JahrenIs my sexual appetite normal? (men)?
I am 27 years old, and sometimes I feel overwhelmed by my sexual drive. I am married and my wife does NOT have anywhere NEAR the same drive as me. I think about it constantly. Sometimes I truly think I wouldn't mind working in pornography, but that is totally out of the question. I would never cheat on my wife, but the thought constantly crosses my mind. I feel as if I want to live an open sexual lifestyle. It drives me crazy. Is this normal? I know men think about sex a lot. I just feel like I'm a bit over the top. Is it just me? Gah! I'm seeking the advice of men that may be around my same age. I would imagine this is pretty normal when you're younger, but I almost feel like my sex drive is the same or maybe even MORE strong than it was when I was like, 17.
1 AntwortMen's Healthvor 9 JahrenIs it okay that alcohol relieves stress?
I own a print shop. It's extreme high stress job. There are deadlines after deadlines and when you're the owner- its up to you to ensure customers and employees are happy. I enjoy my job, but it has it's very hard weeks. Do you think it's okay that I have a few beers when I get home? It never effects my work, but really relaxes me and helps me focus on the "now" instead of work and deadlines and craziness. I ask because I stagger home, worn out, and a beer sounds so good, but I don't want to over do it. What do you think?
4 AntwortenMental Healthvor 9 JahrenIs living in an RV really feasbile and affordable?
This is a random question, but my wife and I are young, and have been living in a 1 bedroom apartment for about 3-4 years. It's so expensive. We pay about $1550 a month for our apartment, water, trash and garage (not including electric). Is living in an RV any more affordable than that? We live in San Diego, CA. Just curious!
4 AntwortenOther - Cars & Transportationvor 9 JahrenWhat truck will get me what I want at the best MPG?
I would like to trade my car for a truck. This would be the first time I might consider purchasing a new vehicle. I should have bought a truck the first time. haha. I am a man who likes to work with his hands and build things, and constantly find myself not able to purchase wood, and certain things at home depot. I don't do any off-roading. I live in San Diego. I MOSTLY just drink from work and home. I've been approved for something like, $20-$30. I can't remember. Anyway, I'd rather spend as LITTLE as possible. Any recommendations?
3 AntwortenBuying & Sellingvor 9 JahrenShould I take vitamin B complex?
Let me give you a back story on why I'm asking, and what I've experienced. This all started with a simple problem - my extreme sensitivity to alcohol. While I don't drink much too often, any time I do, I get really bad hangovers. Of course, the hangovers are easily avoided by not drinking, but I noticed that I can drink much, much less than anyone I know, and wake up feeling extremely exhausted, and extremely dry, and uncomfortable. I mean, like - 2 glasses of wine, and not even really feeling drunk, and wham- hangover. I did some research and found a lot of people will take vitamin B for a hangover. I don't have that, so I decided one time to try a multi vitamin my wife uses, which had more B than the one I've been using. (I had been using a cheaper men's 1-a-day multivitamin) I was blown away. I felt SOOO much better! I continued using it (daily) and realized that I had improved energy, and just felt better. Doing more research, I learned that some people take B for "dryness", and throughout my adult life, I have noticed that I do feel a lot more "dryness" in my mouth, especially if I haven't eaten in a couple hours. I try drinking tons of water, but feel no real relief. I work out almost every day, and I THINK I eat pretty darn healthy. Now I know I should go see a doctor, but I'm curious if anyone else has experienced this sort of thing, and if I should just go buy some B-Complex and try it out! Oh, and for those who are curious, I'm 27 years old, 185 lb. Dunno if that matters, but- FYI. :-) Would it be okay to try it with my regular one-a-day? I'm assuming there's no real problem, but I think I'm more interested if anyone has used B for these same sort of reasons, and if it's a common issue. I think what my thought process is, is if the multivitamin with a little more B helped me feel BETTER, maybe a B-Complex would really change how I feel day-to-day. I'm always a bit more "behind" on energy from my wife, and I would love (and she would love it even more) it if I could keep up with her and all that she loves doing. Thank you for your input!
1 AntwortMen's Healthvor 9 JahrenHow can I make my wife happy if she feels we got married too early?
A little background: My wife is 23, I am 27. We got married Oct 2010. I own a small, pretty successful small business. I know that my wife loves me. She tells me every day. But I think she's struggling because life, and the reality of marriage has hit her, and she feels like she has some regrets. I mean, I don't necessarily blame her. Personally, I'm okay with my life, and what I have going on, but she is still in school, and working every day. I could see how it could become monotonous and depressing. She started seeing a therapist without really telling me much about it. I think she's not telling me because she doesn't want to hurt my feelings, but I understand. What can I do to help? I don't think she wants to leave me, there's probably just a lot she wishes she could have done before she got marriage and made this commitment. To be honest, it's very frustrating and it's unfair, but I'm trying to take this as best as I can and support her. How can I support her, show her my love, so that she can be happy in her life and our marriage? Would sending her backpacking with a girlfriend for a month help? She always talked about going backpacking and exploring. Do I just stand back and let her do her thing, or do I ask her questions? I have tried talking to her, but she doesn't seem like she wants to talk about it. I would like a women's point of view, because I think that a lot of young women experience this when they get married young. Our sex life is down to 0 because of her. She spends A LOT of time exercising, running and hiking, I think it's to help not feel like she's in a slump. I'm a pretty emotional guy, and this is very hard for me to handle too. It's causing me to feel unwanted and unloved. I'm trying myself to work out more, and look at the positives. I REALLY PRAY that this is just something she needs to get through, and that things will be okay. I love her a lot. To be more honest, one of the hardest things is the sex. We haven't had sex in months and months. I can't really do much about it, and I don't want to force it on her. This is a tough situation. Again, she tells me she loves me every day, and kisses me, and we still spend time together, and hug, and everything else. So, I don't feel 100% like she doesn't want me.

I dunno, we've liked so many random shows. It gets hard to get into a new show. We don't like "zombies" or ghost junk. We like suspense, action, thrill... we like smart stuff, not dumb junk Any suggestions?
7 AntwortenDramavor 9 JahrenShould I buy a scooter? Financial Advice?
Hi! I am 27 years old. I own a small business that is about 5-7 miles away from my home. I live across the street from a grocery store. I have a wife and a dog. I make about 65-70k a year, but I rent my home. My home is about $1550 a month. With the money I spend on my wife going to school, and everything else, I have an incredibly hard time saving money. I was thinking about selling my car and buying a scooter instead. I estimate I could save over $5000 a year doing this. Cutting out gas costs, maintenance and everything else that revolves around owning a car. I've had my car about 7 years and put 10k miles on it a year. (VERY LITTLE) I typically only drive to work and back. If we go anywhere else, we usually take my wife's SUV.
Do you think it's worth it? What about the safety factor? If I could save 5000k a year, I could save up for a deposit on a home! That would be the real prize.
I'm not sure if my wife would approve, but I was curious what other people think too. Any scooter drivers have advice?
3 AntwortenBuying & Sellingvor 9 JahrenThe old-age question, how do I get more sex from my wife?
I know there are a lot of answers to this question - but I'd like to just throw out my situation to you, and see what responses I get. My wife and I got married about 1 1/2 years ago. We love each other deeply! I think she is SUPER hot! That's sorta half the problem. She's just not into sex. Period. Any time we have sex, I feel like it's a job to her. It didn't USED to be like that. We dated 7 years before we go married, and I think after the 5-6th year, things got a little stale. We've tried different things, but she's really unmotivated. A couple days ago, I gave her an orgasm, (this was really rare to me!!) and she told me it was the first time she's had one since last time I gave her one. She told me she doesn't even do it to herself. This means she hasn't pleasured herself and hasn't had one in over a year. I mean, to me, as a man, that sounds crazy. Is that normal? We tried some remedies a while back, and she talked to her doctor about it, but nothing really seemed to work. She just seems done. It's very frustrating as her husband, and I know she knows it, but I try to take what I can get WHEN I can get it. Does anyone have any recommendations on how to handle the situation? We've talked about it, and have gone through different ideas, and tried different things, but again, it's always "trying" to her. It's never just enjoying. I don't think I'm unloving to her. I love cuddling for the most part. I love taking her out to nice dinners, and making her feel loved. There have been those perfect days where we just have so much fun together, and go places, and experience new things and in my head I'm like, "Oh man, I can't wait until tonight when we can make love!" But it just doesn't happen. Anyway, I know the information is kind of weird. I'm just trying to see if anyone has a different point of view on the situation. I kept thinking that maybe it was me. Maybe I was doing something wrong, but I'm starting to think that if SHE'S not even pleasuring herself, then maybe it's not me. Do you think this is a phase, or do you think it'll pass? Honestly, not having sex with your wife, puts a damper in my mood, and my overall lifestyle. I definitely don't want it to continue to bring me down, because I know it'll effect our relationship. By the way, just for reference, I'm 27 and she's 24. It scares me that we're so young and only have sex maybe once every 4 months, if I'm lucky.
6 AntwortenMarriage & Divorcevor 9 JahrenHow do I keep my wooden box from leaking water?
Hi. I basically build a wooden box. It pretty much looks like a 50-70 gallon fish tank except with wood. I coated the inside with resin fiberglass. I think I did about 3 coats of resin, and filled it with water. I had a leak. I dumped it, and did it again. I had a leak. I dumped it and then coated the corners that were leaking with marine sealant. It worked for 2 days, and then over the weekend, it leaked and created a huge mess. How do I keep this thing from leaking!? I need this to be very solid and un-leakable because eventually I'm going to fill it with a chemical that's supposed to break down emulsion for screen printing. Any ideas? I don't want to just toss is because it took me so long and I've invested $150!

4 AntwortenGovernmentvor 1 JahrzehntWhat's a chemical resistant material (that's like a shower curtain)?
Hello, I am in search of a thick, chemical resistant material that's kinda like a shower curtain. It needs to be able to hold perhaps 30 gallons of water and an industry specific chemical called Emulsion Remover. I don't feel like it's too caustic, but I would need a strong material just in case. What I want to do is build a frame that'll hold this material (like a sack), where I could put things in it to sit for a certain amount of time.
What I'm trying to do is build a home-made dip tank, like this: http://www.atlasscreensupply.com/dip%20tank.jpg
If you have any ideas, let me know!
1 AntwortDo It Yourself (DIY)vor 1 JahrzehntMy wife doesn't like sex, why?
Hello. I am going to start with some facts. I am 26 years old, 6' tall, 195 lb. I'm in the midst of trying to loose more weight and gain muscle. My wife is short, but in good shape. Maybe a LITTLE overweight for her age/height. She always says she feels fat, but she doesn't change her eating habits. She works out though. Sometimes we work out together too. I think she looks great, and she turns me on!
We dated for 6 years before we got married. We had sex before marriage. For a while, ALL the time! It was great. She was WAY into it and sometimes wanted it more than I did. We got married 3 months ago. Big wedding- big production, beautiful, but we are both happy to be done with it and just married. We did lots of pre-marital counseling, so I felt like we were well prepared. Our relationship is great. She hates spending minutes away from me. (Sometimes it's a little much for me, but I'm just glad she wants me so much) I provide everything, as she doesn't have a well paying job. I try to give her the whole world, and I think she appreciates it.
One thing she DOESN'T want is sex. I can't believe we've been married for 3 months, yet only have sex MAYBE once a month. I hate asking her for any sexual favors, or even trying to get on her because she doesn't seem like she wants it, and that turns me off and honestly, makes me a little bitter. I've almost given up. We've discussed this before. She thought it was her libido. She talked to a doctor about it, and tried some things. I guess she kind of gave up on it. I don't know if she EVER materbates. Something tells me she doesn't. She's too busy and is always doing something. Also, if I ever masterbate and she finds out, she gets mad at me! So I'm assuming she doesn't.
One of her complaints is that I last too long. I've given her orgasms though, many different ways, including penetration. I can't help that I last a little longer than she wants. :-/ Sometimes I try to finish as quick as I can, but it's hard, and the stress of just trying to please her can make it a bit more difficult. Sometimes I just never finish if I'm "inside". I get worn out and we have to do something else.
We saw this movie the other night where a couple was having sex and it lasted like, 1 min. (obviously it was a movie and not real) Her comment was, "How come you don't finish that fast?"
I've tried many different tactics. Date nights. "Planning" sex ahead of time. (Doesn't work out) Buying lingerie, toys, etc etc etc...
Sigh, anyway - I'm just not sure what to do. I feel like just waiting and seeing if her libido ever gets better. I think I'm at my sexual peak in my life, and it's very difficult being married to a woman who doesn't want to have sex. I feel like any time she does "please" me, she just does it as a favor, and that makes me feel bad.
Has anyone had experiences with this? Any tips or ideas?
Sometimes I think it's the stress in her life, because it seems like the only time she actually wants it is when she's had a couple glasses of wine, and is relaxed. Also, 70% of our conversation is how much she hates her job. She's trying to apply at different places, but I don't know if it'll fix this problem. Who knows.

I have this problem, which really makes enjoying any alcohol really hard. Sure, I get hangovers once in a while, but the main problem for me is lack of sleep. Anytime I drink, even if it's not "a lot", I lose A LOT of sleep. I virtually feel like I got NO sleep, even if I was in bed for 8-9 hours. Friends of mine seem to sleep fine. My wife can drink as much as me and feel fine in the morning, while I wake up groggy and unrested and extremely tired. Any ideas on how I can sleep after drinking. (And yeah, I know that "not drinking" will keep this from happening. Anyway - any ideas?

6 AntwortenBeer, Wine & Spiritsvor 1 JahrzehntWhy don't I have sex with my wife?
One month ago my wife and I got married. We had sex maybe 3 or 4 times the week after, and then went on our honeymoon and I think I had sex once. We came home and have not had sex since. (About 2 weeks or more) I think it's starting to bother my wife. The fact of the matter is, I work 2 jobs, and have been so tired lately, it's very hard to feel motivated to do anything else than fall asleep. On top of that, my 2 jobs are basically desk jobs. I sit all day long, and I just feel so out of shape, and unhappy with my body that it is very hard to feel "sexy". I just feel like keeping my clothes ON and not seeing myself. It's very frustrating to me, and sad at the same time. Most days I don't get home from work until about 9:00 PM. What can I do to help motivate change, or what should I do to motivate myself to have sex just for the sake of showing my wife I still love her? I don't want to fall into a marriage that's just a rut and start to make her feel unloved and bitter. :-(
