I've had my automatic watch, and I've been wearing it, for years. Just a few weeks ago the watch band started to smell strongly like bad deli meat (like sliced deli ham when it gets that clear slimy stuff on it).

I tried using the lotion I bought for my leather jacket on it (since the watch band is leather) to clean it, but the smell came back pretty quickly.

I'm really unsure as to what is causing the smell and how to get rid of it (short of replacing the band, which would be expensive since it's a French brand watch and most repair shops would have to find and import the band, or just send the watch out, so I really don't want to go to a jeweler.

Recently I used to work watering plants at a home improvement store, As I had several plants to water I noticed many of them gave off a scent right after being watered.

Vegetables, herbs and fruits smelled respectively like themselves only the odor was stronger.

Dianthus let off a rotten egg smell

Agasthse (sp?) smelled like orange extract.

May night Salvia smelled like vomit to me.

Someone suggested that it might be a chemical reaction of some sort, but it has left me wondering exactly why they smell stronger right after being watered?

I recently bought an RCA Cable from Staples, but the one I bought has colors that are different from the TV I have. The TV I have operates on a red, white, yellow (system?) I guess.

Actually the Tv I have only uses two colors White and Yellow

I heard that the Animorphs series is being re-released, apparently they are up to book 5 now.

I don't much care for the new covers, but what I'm really wondering is why are they being released again? I rather enjoyed the series, but if I remember correctly they had finished the story.

My only thought as to why is that they are trying to regain popularity for the series again for some other reason.

Does anyone know if they are going to attempt a tv series again? (I realize that the tv series wasn't amazing, and the books were better, but they weren't that far off from the books).

Or perhaps they are trying to gain popularity for an attempt at a movie?

Has anyone heard anything as to why???

I recently did some research for a question and found that the oldest currently active University was the University of Bolgna, which I initially thought was someone messing with wikipedia, until I did more research and discovered it actually exists. This begged the question where does the phrase "full of bologna" come from and does it have some connection with the history of this University?

Like everyone I dream and like some I occasionally remember them.

There are two specific dreams I have for a long time wondered about. They are the only two that I always seem to have a fresh recollection of.

The first happened several years ago, one time only.

I was in a dark room? There were no walls no visible light source and all I could see clearly was a clear but visible room made of clear but visible walls with a woman inside pressed up against the nearest wall to me screaming, bleeding profusely banging against the wall, dying, screaming. And I tried to help her I tried to break the wall with my fists, banging on it, I was trying to save her, but after some time I gave up and sunk against the wall with my fists still on it weakly pounding as I cried and I said “I’m sorry” the rest of the dream continued with her laying dead in a pool of blood with me on the outside turned away sitting quietly with my head buried in my hands.

The second happened several times over a period of 2 or 3 years. Though hasn't happened in probably about 2 or 3 years.

There is a shadow of a man sitting in a boat (a small crappy wooden one) looking down slightly, wearing a coolie atop his head, fishing on a calm lake in the sunset. The dream zooms in slowly on the shadowed man and he becomes clearer (by which I mean you can see colors of the man now) he’s old wearing blue overalls, some shirt, the coolie is beigeish/yellowish and as it zooms in on his face he looks up at me? (Or whoever the dreams eyes are through) he doesn’t say anything, his eyes are intense and you can actually see some kind of faint flame in his eyes… and then it ends.

My headphones continually break down on the right side, and I keep have to replacing them, I've tried several different brands and it always seems to happen. I've gotten really tired of it and it keeps adding up in cost so I'd like to not have to buy them any more.

I know the problem isn't the headphones, I've bought new pairs and they work both sides... for a few weeks and if I'm lucky up to two months.

I know the problem isn't the speakers on the laptop, unplugging the headphones sound comes out of both speakers. But this isn't an option, I do work with people around me and I do live with other people.

From what I understand, from reading articles on-line, cds and music often operate on several different sound channels, laptops/computers/cd players are set up so that some of those channels come through the left speaker and some through the right speaker.

I want to REDIRECT those channels so they all come out on the left speaker.

As it is now parts of some of the songs I own just aren't heard because as I've explained the different channels.

Going to control panel clicking on the speakers and setting the right speaker to 0 volume doesn't work all that seems to actually do is make the right speaker have no sound. It doesn't redirect the sound that goes to the right speaker to the left speaker.

I don't want to adjust the balance I want to change the channels.

I'm becoming more and more concerned about the increasing size of C:/Windows

it's at 27 GB now...

I have windows 7 and updates are seemingly offered non-stop which is endlessly annoying, seriously it seems like they come every few days or every freaking week.

I'm wondering if these updates are just stacking up on my computer? or if they are actually even bothering to get rid of the old updates that are no longer necessary? or am I expected to do that myself? I don't know what I need and what I don't...

I use Kaspersky Anti-Virus (newest) and it can find nothing wrong with the folder.

But it seems to keep getting larger over time.

About a week ago I saw the latest episode of South Park at southparkstudios.com where Stan becomes cynical of everything.

The makers of South Park have clearly stated that this is not the final episode and that they are contractually obligated through Comedy Central to continue making episodes until 2013.

That Stan's parents are separated isn't really a concern for me, because they got divorced in the past and have grown apart from each other in other episodes so I'm sure that'll be fine. I can't see how anyone can fix Stan's cynicism, however, since no one can even communicate with Stan anymore, because all he hear's or sees is literally sh**.

My only guess of how South Park could come back from this episode (with Stan still being a main character) is the other 3 kids get Jesus to help.

My reasoning for this is that Jesus, although never having used his powers, has only ever said insightful things in the past so I think there's a chance that his words may not sound like sh** to him and that Jesus may be the last character on South Park to be able to even communicate with Stan.

Any other ideas/predictions?

First understand that there has never been a pure Communist or Marxist society.

When people think Communism they jump to China. No, China is a prime example of Command Socialism.

When reading the Communist Manifesto I couldn't help but think this is exactly what I was taught being raised as a Catholic, what a wonderful world this would be, wonderful yet entirely impossible.

I think Marx failed to take into consideration the Human Element. The whole thing is a pipe dream.

Now on to a little more explanation as to why I don't understand the resistance.

Jesus tells us all are created equal, Marx calls for a classless society where every one contributes to the best of their abilities and is treated equally.

Marx calls for a redistribution of wealth, as does Jesus. Did Jesus preach Capitalism? I think not... did saints not give all that they had to the needy and follow Jesus putting complete faith in him?

Social programs?

Didn't Jesus help the needy? hang out with those who were considered the lowest in society?

Yet I can't help but see a lot of Christians that object to such programs and such Ideas. I don't get it, someone please explain?

I'm Catholic, but I don't believe in the bible.

It seems to me looking at history that during the middle ages (and possibly even before) the Catholic Church had so much power and was so corrupt that they could of done anything to that book, added political opinions, changed wordings, etc.

Aside from this, I don't see how we can take the word of God as written by man, as man is imperfect and God is perfect.

Not to say that nothing can be learned by reading it, or for that matter any other religion's sacred texts... There are moral lessons presented in all the sacred texts that may be useful life lessons.

But some things within it cause me to question if it's been tampered with.

Thoughts?

I downloaded Veoh player so I can watch anime, and when I did it downloaded this toolbar. The toolbar may be useful but it's freaking huge! and annoying beyond belief, especially when playing games because it moves everything down like a full inch and when playing games that don't have a scroll bar the bottom inch is missing entirely from the game making it difficult.. I don't know why they made the toolbar this way!

I'd like to just bring it out when I need/want it. I don't want to completely uninstall it but I'd like to not have it there sometimes.. I can't find the option to do this anywhere! is there one?

I need a FREE program to convert videos from avi to wmv EASILY.

I tried Super Converter which gave me all of these options that I don't understand and every time it came up with an error even when I told it to convert videos I could easily convert with RealPlayer Converter, which I have used to convert other formats to wmv. Problem is that I can't seem to find anything similar to RealPlayer Converter where you simply drop the video in choose the format you want and it will covert it, that's all I want to do, I don't want to mess with any specs or have a billion options. Only problem is that RealPlayer Convereter won't convert avi for me, at least not the free version.

I am NOT looking for trial versions that will run out (or trial versions that will put some stupid mark on the video and ruin it), I need this program for a lengthy period of time.

So all I need is a simple, free program that will convert avi to wmv.

It's my understanding that the main character has built heaven in his backyard in the form of a baseball field. If it is heaven why would Burt not be able to return? Because it's my understanding that heaven is supposed to be a pretty welcoming place.

I'm trying to find the answer to a problem I'm having, I collect Yu-Gi-Oh! cards and I was making a spreadsheet to evaluate the probability of drawing cards out of packs, I have the ratios for each card and probability of pulling each out of a single pack but I'm finding it difficult to discover the probability of drawing every card I want out of the list. I'm guessing the solution has to do with Joint Probability, but I didn't understand the article on Wikipedia and my Statistics book wasn't very helpful either.

So far the data looks like this:
