I have just calculated my bmi, for my science homework, and it says I'm obese. It was on NHS choices.

I'm a 14 year old girl, 5 foot 6 and 9 stone 6. I walk to school and back every day, so that adds up to 3 mile a day. I don't own a car, so I walk, sometimes run to cadets and back twice a week which adds up to 2 mile. I also eat very little junk food, and stick to healthy food. I'm also on the cross country team at school, and do alot of sports. How and why am I obese??

Is it social, financial and moral??

It's my english teacher's birthday next month, ive only had her for 3 weeks, but she is really nice, and I will have her for thé next 2 years for my GCSEs. Do you think I should just give her something small, like pretty nail voils (50p from primark) cos she always has jazzy nails. Or do you think I should just say happy birthday, cos giving her something may be a bit weird?

When I'm older (I'm 14) I really want to join the navy. My dad and older sister where in the navy, I just want to know what it's like, cos its probably changed a bit now, as this was 15 years ago. I go to sea cadets and enjoy it, and would quite like to be a medical. Finally, is it very hard to get in, how long did it take you to get in? (and I'm a girl, if that helps)

how long does it take a dead human body to decay? Like for an exsample, if i dug up my great grandma who died 7 years ago, would she be a pile of bones or like fleshy?

So, if you cut your thigh open, or any fatty areas, would the fat just pour out, or would it be firm, and have to be squeezed out. Or even solid, and have to be ripped out???

Just curious

If someone stuck thier arm up someones bum, would there be able to pull the intestines out?? Or squeeze the heart?

Can a person cut their body, lets say thigh, to the bone, look at the bone, and still be consious?

How hard would it be to snap your arm? With your other arm? Or leg? Can you actually hear it?

Are human skelitons heavy?

If a car ran over your hand, finger or foot, would it affect them?? as they are only small areas of the body?

Today at school, everyone was talking about this thing; i think its linked to a triangle, and something to do with hell or karma, and its everywhere, but you cant see it. Its quite a big word, and alot of people know it.

Well, me and a group of friends where supposed to be going out today. One of them is ill, the other canceled to go somewhere else, and the other one can't come anymore. So it's just me and another girl. We are not the closest of friends, and we just keped testing asking if the others can come or not. So in the end I texted "maybe we should all do it another day instead if you want, cos there is nothing much to do, its going to rain soon, I'm free on the weekend. I might have to look after my niece aswell. I'll try Amy again xxx"

Does that sound like I don't want to go out with her? I would, but she is getting her eyebrows done soon, and none of us are allowed anyone round at their house. We don't need anything at the shops, and it is going to rain soon.

Why do larger shoes cost twice as much!?? I'm a size 6 in shoe, and I need to pay more than people with size 3 or 4! I don't have alot of money, so I can't afford to have a larger shoe size, I personally think it's racist (shoe term racist) to people size 5 and onwards!! I'm only 14, so by the time I'm 20, I'll have to pay 4 times as much!! The same with other people with larger feet!! I wouldn't be as angry if they gave a free pair of socks to size 5 and onwards, to make up for the price!!

Just wondering, cos they look really nice, but they are quite expensive, so I want to buy them with my birthday money, and I don't want to waste money on shoes that are no good.

My friend is always nagging at me to be 'normal', like her, cos she says that no one will like me, and 'boys will run away' She is boy mad and flirts with any boy she sees, like if we go to the beach, or just to the corner shop. She wants me to get a boyfriend, and trys to make me flirt with boys I haven't met! She is constantly doing her hair and makeup, and buying new clothes also, we all used to eat at McDonalds, but now she wants us all to eat at posh cafes, she will then tell me of for only buying a coke, and not an expresso!), and shop at expensive clothes shops,not primarily any more when I don't spend a lot of money. It's starting to annoy me a little , as me and my other friend can't really have fun anymore, like go to parks, or climb, or experiment with different things, because she tells me sometimes us to be like her. Now it's got to the point where I can't even talk how I do, or how I walk, or what I talk about, it's all got to be serious talk with her. She also over reacts over little things, like if someone just had a joke with her, or described someone as being black, not in a racist way.

The thing is I just can't be 'normal' or like her, as I am not interested in boys, I don't think about how I look,i have my own style in clothes, I just want to have fun, or just take it easy. My family all do impressions of people, and do things differently, so I've just picked that up, I just can't be like my friend.

So, do you think I should just do what my friend says, or ignore her?

My friend texted me saying that there is a concert with 10 singers and it's 40 pounds. It's near my area too. It sounds good, but I don't like any of the singers there, and we both have different tastes in music. I know she can go, but she asked about 8 other people to go, and I doubt they will be allowed either.Also my dad said I'm too young, and cos its late at night, there will be drugs and alcohol. The thing that I'm worried about is, my friend goes in a huff easy, so shall I go to keep her happy, or tell the truth?

Well on the way home from school today, my friend and 3 others where walking together. Then out of the blue, this girl from the year above us started saying nasty stuff to my friend cos she said a little thing to her friend, and then started slapping my friends face, and grabbed her by the hair and dragged her around. My friend then tried to get her to go away, but she started punching my friends face, and pulled her head back. This girl also has a history of beating people up, and we know her name, as her and my friend live next to each other.

My question is, should I let a teacher know tomorrow if my friend is off school, or should I leave it to my friend, just in case it's none of my business? I know I should stick up for her, but shall I report her to the teacher?

I've been like this all my life, but it's mainly just with friends. It's really awkward, cos I end up letting someone down in the end, cos all this month I keep saying il walk with my friend home, but my other friend who she doesn't like walks home with me, so the one I said il walk home with storms of in a huff, then texts everyone else, saying I always leave her out. Also just little things, like when people ask for pens e.t.c il say "yes!" when I know they always break them, or refuse to give them back. Also, I end up promising two groups of people il sit with them at lunch, then I can only sit with one, cos they won't let me go. Finally, my friends are getting really fed up with me, cos they say I never stand up for myself, and I'm always too happy and positive, when times are tuff (I can't stop worring inside though), and they keep shouting at me to say no to people, or go in silent mode with me.

I feel stupid, cos everyone else I know say no all the time,but I just can't, even if I say yes not enthusiastic enough il feel guilty!

Is anyone else like this, and if so, what do you do?

Hi, let's call them A and B. A and B are not friends at all, but B used to like A, but A never liked B for no particular reason. Anyway today my other friend told me that A said I was using her, because apparently I want to spend all my time with B.

These are the main deatails:

I used to meet B at the bus stop before school, and walk to school together, but when I met A she said I could meet her at her house. I said yeah, but I said I will have to meet B another day, cos that won't be fair on her, and I said A can come aswell. A said no, cos she doesn't like B ( I don't know why).

But recently A has stopped asking me to come to her house, so I sort of waited outside, cos I don't want to invite myself. But now, when I go past her street, she has already left in the car with her mam, so I just meet B now. A never said anything about it, and never asked me to meet her anymore, so I just walked with B.

Also I spent most of break and lunch with A and our other friends in the group ( B is in a completely different group, and I never usually see her, apart from walking to and from school).

Lastly, when me, A and B walk home together, A storms off in a huff, so now she walks with someone else.

So what I'm asking is, am I using A, and if I am, what shall I do? Really sorry it's long, and thatnkyou!!
