I really need to get away, and everyone is busy with work, school, etc. I wanted to go to a beach resort for like four days... Would I have fun alone? Has anyone ever done this before?

Lately, I've been going through a lot of personal issues and I feel I'm battaling what is coming down to a serious depression. All the advice I'm getting from friends, family, even psychologists, is not helping. I know the right advice but I can't take it... If I were to advise someone with what I'm going through, I would know exaclty what to say and the right thing to do, but I can't accept that advice for myself. Does this happen to anyone else?

I went on vacation, met someone (of the same sex) for a period of 4 days and felt for this person some connection that I cannot get out of my head. I've been in a str8 serious relationship for 3 years and I maturely love the person I'm with --- someone I can build my life with, safe, etc.

So I decided not to keep contact with the person on the vacation, no e-mails, phone numbers, anything because I was afraid of keeping contact. I'm so tempted to get a hold of this person. I don't know why I'm so drawn to this person. It was only four days and this is NOT typical of me in the least sense. I'm very careful and not codependent. What should I do? Should I try to contact this person? Or will this go away?

Also, I didn't do anything with this person that would make me a cheater... I tried to avoid this person as much as possible on the trip but we kept bumping into each other. The extent of our time together was just conversations, nothing sexual.

We have been dating for three years and I don't know if I ever want to be in a relationship. Everyone around me has unhappy marriages, and I'm afraid of this. But now that I am away from my partner, I do not really miss it all that much. Is that normal?
