My 5 year old budgerigar has only eaten seeds for his entire life and he is half hand tamed. He isn't scared of my hand and will eat out of it, but he won't stand on my finger. I want to get him to eat fruits and vegetables instead of just seeds. How can I get him to eat these? Also, what are the most common types of fruits and vegetables that budgies can eat?

One day my female budgie started limping. Her nails aren't that long, but they may have gotten caught in the spray millet while I wasn't around. It looks like she can't open it at all, but when she does manage to get it around the perch, it seems like she can't really grasp and hold on to it. Some days it seems like it's getting better, but overall I see no real healing. It's been like this for a few weeks, but please don't suggest a visit to the avian vet. I am only 14 years old and can't afford to take them. Please give me some possible causes and what the problem may be.

When I look at something, everything else around it is blurry. Its a lot like macro on cameras except that I can't turn it off. Is this normal?
