Is anyone a serious educated runner?
In this section, it seems like everyone is an ignorant teenager that doesn't know anything about actual training or racing. Can anyone prove me wrong?

Im a 14 year old boy, 5k PR is 18:53, 2 mile PR is 11:35, im aiming for a sub-1:30 half marathon. Ive been training 40-50 miles a week, my question is, can i wear racing flats for the half? Or will my heavier training shoes be a better decision?
1 AntwortRunningvor 9 JahrenMile racing strategy?
What is the best way to win a high school mile race, to front run and set a hard pace to try and get separation, or to have a mediocre kick at the end? Im much more of a front runner, but i could improve my kick. Im a freshman with a 5:35 PR in 8th grade
4 AntwortenRunningvor 9 JahrenWeekly mileage as a freshman?
Im a 14 year old freshman, my PRs are 18:52 for 5k, 12:02 for 2 mile, 5:35 for a mile. What is my maximum weekly milage that you would recommend? Im a forefoot striker so i dont get shin splints easily, and ive completed hard 8 mile runs recently and still feel great. My parents dont want me running over 40 mpw, i want to run 70+ to build a huge base. Also, what are some good mile speedworkouts?

5 AntwortenRunningvor 9 JahrenDo I have any potential?
So yesterday I ran a PR mile of 5:35, and I was wondering if I have a possible future in long-distance running. I ran 6 miles in training in about 41 minutes and I'm still improving, could I get to a 17-18 minute 5k by fall? What would that take in training terms, like milage per week? What would other high school freshman be running?
2 AntwortenRunningvor 9 JahrenHow far can i run safely?
