I know about the unwritten rule that you shouldn't date your friends' exes...

But what about a situation where you haven't seen or spoken to the friend in almost 5 years? Maybe I can't call her a friend anymore since we lost touch, but she's not nobody to me either.

Her ex has asked me out and I'm wondering if the unwritten "rule" still applies?

I've painted little images onto some flat wooden beads with ordinary acrylics, and varnished them with an artist's matt varnish afterwards.

But I've just realised that it's chipping off! If I scratch the surface a little bit with my nail, the paint is coming off. I thought the varnish would seal the painting onto the wood, but obviously not.

Please help! Is there any way for me to seal the paint on so it won't chip off? Starting all over again with a different kind of paint is not an option...

I'm looking for some kind of framing template. I mean a fully adjustable neutral 'mount' or 'frame', to help me select an area of a painting and envisage how I want the picture framed...

I'm a lazy mare, and I need some advice on how to self-discipline / self-motivate...

Every time I start a project or a task, I have high hopes for about 10 minutes, and then I think "Yeaahhh, maybe I'll finish this after a coffee, a biccie, and half an hour on Yahoo Answers"...

"Half an hour" turns into 2 hours involving Youtube videos. "A biccie" turns into a fridge-raid. Nothing gets done.

It's not right.

Any suggestions?

The fool in question usually ends up winning around a fiver. Not even enough for their busfare back to loserland. Yet Noel assures them that they "played the game with courage".

Is this actually true? Or were they just greedy fools who thought their 'lucky' numbers (their nan's birthday date, plus house number, and similar crap) have the power to beat the odds?

Brave? Or just dumb?

I have a memory of a cartoon where all the characters were in a ship. There was a captain, and two twin dwarf characters called Ein and Stein. They had white beards.

There was also an orchard on the ship, for some reason. Ein and Stein got trapped in the vines or something. Maybe the orchard was only there for one episode.

Unless of course none of it ever happened; in which case I'm sorry. Anyone remember that cartoon?

I'm trying to remember a 'girly' cartoon from the 80s.. Bear with me because my memory is a shambles:

It was about a girl, with a pony or ponies, and I think there were stars involved. Maybe "star" or "stars" was in the title, but I'm not sure...

I have a feeling she had pink hair? Or maybe mixed colours. I could be wrong.

It's not "My Little Pony" or "Rainbow Brite".... Anyone know what it is?

I've been using a .005 line for drawing, but I need an even finer line than that. Any recommendtions?
