Hey everyone,

on my way to Colombia I will have a layover in New York.

I was wondering if you had any tips what I might do for that one night?

I have been to New York before, just for a couple of days, but I've seen the major sights like Times Square. I'm specifically looking for ideas at night, for example clubbing. However, I'm just 20, so I'm not sure if I would be able to get into a club? Sorry if that's a stupid question but I'm from Germany and here the drinking age is 16 or 18 ;)

So, any tips what to do or what to avoid are welcome!

Hey,

I'm working on a term paper about minimum wage and came across the term "wage norm". However I have not found any definitions or explanations online, so I'm not sure what is really is.

Different authors are using it either as a rate at which the wage grows, or as a synonym of minimum wage.

I hope that someone can help me out and explain the term, my native language is not English so I just don't know it.

Hallo Leute,

ich habe ein Problem.

Ich wollte mir ganz gerne meinen Fernseher als zweiten Monitor einrichten. Habe mir dafür die passenden Kabel gekauft, und wenn ich die Verbindung herstelle sehe ich auch das PC Bild auf beiden Geräten. Soweit so gut.

Nun kommt das Problem:

Wenn ich meinen PC herunterfahre und danach wieder hochfahre, habe ich das PC-Bild nur noch auf dem Fernseher, aber nicht mehr auf dem PC-Monitor.

Kann mir vielleicht jemand sagen, wie ich das einstellen kann, dass ich entweder immer das Bild auf beiden habe, oder den Monitor als Standard einrichte, und den Fernseher nur optional hinzuschalte?

Ich benutze Windows XP. Ich habe es schon mit Rechtsklick und Einstellungen versucht, dort sind BEIDE als Nr. 1 Monitore hinterlegt, weshalb ich ein bisschen ratlos bin, wie ich das Restart Problem löse.

Me quedo en una residencia de estudiantes en Av. de los Naranjos.

Conocéis unos barres o restaurantes cerca, que podéis recomendar?

Participo en un curso de español por las mañanas, pero tengo las tardes libre.

Espero visitar la ciudad y los monumentos, pero también me gustaría ver lugares que no son tan turísticos. Tenéis algunos avisos que no debería perderme?

Hay una pagina web donde puedo chequear como llegar de un lugar a otro?

Tenéis avisos para la vida nocturna? Me gusta la música española tradicional, tal vez haya un lugar done se puede escuchar música en vivo?

Estaré allí desde el 27 de julio hasta el 10 de agosto. Hay un partido de fútbol de Valencia C.F. durante este tiempo? Creéis que podría comprar boletos sin problemas, o será todo vendido?

I'm travelling to London with a friend in October to see the NFL game there.

We are flying from Berlin to Luton International Airport and staying at the Shaftesbury Premier London Paddington.

I have been looking for ways from Luton to Central London online, but most companies only give information for trips within the next three months.

I would like to know if anyone has experiences with the different companies and / or can recommend the best / fastest / cheapest way from Luton to London, if possible directly to Paddington station.

Since I'm flying with Easyjet, Green Line offers me a 13,50 Pound Return journey from Luton to Baker Street. Does anyone know how long the ride would take?

ich habe am 05.04. etwa 4 Stunden Aufenthalt in Paris (CDG).

Ich würde mir gerne die Stadt ansehen, habt ihr vielleicht Tipps für mich, wie ich die kurze Zeit am Besten nutzen kann?

Besonders interessieren würden mich die vielen Kirchen (Notre Dame, Sacre Coeur, Sainte Chapelle), der Pantheon und die Galeries Lafayette.

Gibt es vielleicht eine Bustour, die die Sehenswürdigkeiten abfährt aber nicht allzu lange dauert (maximal zwei Stunden)?

Wie kommt man am Besten schnell durch die Stadt?

Freue mich über alle Hinweise, die ihr mir geben könnt.
