Why is wearing all black to a job interview bad?
I recently put together a nice professional outfit consisting of
-Black Dress Shirt
-Black Vest
-Red tie (to break up the black, I'd switch with a navy blue one as well)
-Black pants (not jeans)
-Black simple belt
-Black loafer dress shoes
I think the look looks sophisticated and professional but I hear that all black is bad. Why is that?
1 AntwortFashion & Accessoriesvor 6 JahrenWhy are old gay men mostly attracted to fem guys?
It's just something I've seen. Feminine gay guys don't seem wanted by masculine men around 18-40 but older gay men 50-80 seem to want young feminine guys?
Why is this? Why is an older gay man more into feminine guys over younger masculine men?
I'm just curious as I'm 23 and a bit feminine and have no luck with masculine men around my age but I get hit on so much by men in the late 50s-60s. Is there a psychological reason for this?

I finally got my first real job but the catch is that it's a temporary job for the store re-model. It's only going to last till about July 3rd-4th. The job is definitely straining and I don't enjoy it but I decided to try and work the whole time until the remodel is over but I'm curious.
When I continue to look for another job, should I bother listing my temporary remodel job on my resume even though I only worked there for 6 weeks? Would it make a difference when I try to apply to other places?
Thanks in advance!

1 AntwortOther - Careers & Employmentvor 6 JahrenHow hard is it to get a stripper job?
I've been looking for work for 6 years. I have no experience at all and every time I try to apply for a retail position, I just never get anything, even after I followup week after week with nothing.
I'm considering to do stripping not by choice but because it seems like they aren't as picky and I really need income. So I was wondering is it as hard to get a job as a stripper than it is to get a simple entry-level job these days?
I'm a gay guy as well who isn't very muscular so would they even bother to hire a slim built guy?
4 AntwortenLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgendervor 6 JahrenDo straights care a lot about race?
In the LGBT dating world, it seems like race is such a big issue when it comes to dating. Well, not really for lesbians since they don't seem to care that much if the person is black or Asian like gay guys do.
I'm curious if this is an issue with straight singles as well. As a gay black guy, I've seen so many "No blacks" thing on dating sites and while I'm used to it, I'm just curious if it's like this in the straight dating world lol. Is race equally important?
3 AntwortenLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgendervor 6 JahrenDo I sound transgender?
I've been thinking about this for awhile now. After someone guy called me a "tranny freak". I've been starting to question myself. For starters, I am more on the feminine side (yes I'm gay too).
-I dress androgynous (I'll wear underbust corset, tight clothing, & ear jewelry along with pendants)
-I like to wear wigs (As of recent after trying a long styled wig, I liked how I looked... But it does make me look girlish)
-I want to experiment with subtle makeup in the future
-When it comes to bands/singers, while I like male fronted bands, I have extra love for female fronted bands.
-I don't talk like a "guy". I don't have a lisp but my voice is soft and I just have a weird way of thinking.
-I actually would be open to crossdressing (I plan to try it on Halloween this year)
I mean, I don't really know if I want a woman body or not. I do like my male genitalia. But after wearing my corset for so long, it has given me a slight hourglass shape that I kind of like. I don't know, it's so confusing. I just need some help...
2 AntwortenLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgendervor 6 JahrenCan gay Drag queens find love?
I'm a young gay guy (23) and I've been wanting to do drag for awhile. Not something over the top but something mild. However, I've seen that Drag Queens have a hard time in their love live. No gay guy wants them and will bail on them when they find out they do drag... And Bisexual men will just use them for sex with no intention of wanting a serious relationship... And then the married men.
It just seems like it's love-life suicide if you do drag as a gay man...
Can a gay drag queen find love? If you know any, what has their experience been like?
2 AntwortenLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgendervor 6 JahrenDo gay white European men like black gay men more?
I've heard this saying a lot in recent years that typically, white American gay men aren't as interested or attracted to black men and usually will prefer either another white or light-skinned Latino guy over a black guy.
But I remember years ago that a black gay guy was talking about when he lived abroad in the UK for a year and how white gay men seemed to treat him differently and in short, liked him.
It made me wonder because I have met 2 European men who seemed to like my dark skin. IT was different but nice because I wasn't used to be seen as "attractive" to white men.
My only guess is that Europe doesn't have the negative stereotypes about black people like the USA does so maybe that's why?
4 AntwortenLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgendervor 6 JahrenDo you need experience to work at GNC?
I've been having no luck finding a first job and I'm 24. I have passed through GNC a few times and while I don't know much about supplements, I'd be willing to learn. I know the basics of Whey Protein...
But I have never had a job before... I tried applying through their site and when it came to the "Work experience" section, I have to fill it out with dates and such. I don't have any work experience so I can't list anything.
So I'm just curious? Do you need experience to work at GNC as a sales associate/stock person?

2 AntwortenDiet & Fitnessvor 6 JahrenDo muscular guys like feminine guys?
I've always been attracted to muscular guys, even bodybuilders (to me, there's no such thing as too big). But I'm a slim and androgynous guy myself. While I do workout, I don't want to get big like the guys I'm attracted to.
There seems to be this mantra that "you must become what you want to attract" in the gay world and it kinda bums me out because I know if I make myself get big, I won't be happy.
But yeah... I guess I'm just curious to hear some opinions on this (if you have any).
4 AntwortenSingles & Datingvor 6 JahrenTired of being a fem gay guy?
I'm a fem gay guy who's 25 going on 26... I've run into the dilemma of being attracted to masculine gay men but of course, it's not reciprocated since these men prefer other masculine men. And I'm a hypocrite as I'm not into other feminine guys like myself either. I've always preferred the opposites attract paradigm.
Don't get me wrong, I understand why they prefer masculine men. That's what gay is about. But I've always been a feminine guy (not stereotypical but you know I'm gay).
I have met some guys but they were "Straight" and they only wanted sex from me. Never a relationship. And I'm just getting sick of being treated like a fetish or dirty secret. So I've been thinking about maybe getting a sex change. I don't really feel like a woman but I know I'm not manly and I could adapt to being a woman with time so I think this would be good for me. I can adjust and then be more comfortable with myself as well as meeting a masculine guy (straight, I wouldn't tell him I used to be a man).
It just seems like the straight community is more open to the opposites attract spectrum. The gay world is very closed when you dive into it. Feminine gays and even masculine lesbians tend to get short end it seems.
Anyway, it's just a thought. I don't have the money to afford so at the most, I could save up for some breasts. But I want to know if anyone else has gone through this?
7 AntwortenLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgendervor 6 JahrenFem gay guy pretend to be girl on dating site?
I'm a feminine gay guy who wants to date a masculine guy but most of the masculine gay men are only into other masculine men. It makes it so hard becuase I am naturally feminine (my demeanor) and I'm androgynous in style.
I've been thinking that maybe, if I bought a long wig & some makeup and pretend to be a girl on a dating site and try to get a straight guy.
Straight guys seem to like femininity so maybe if I'm lucky, I could meet one who wouldn't mind dating a feminine guy? Or is that a bad idea...?
It just sucks because Masculine gay men are only interested in other masculine gay men (which makes sense) but what about fem guys? That's why I think this may work. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
4 AntwortenLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgendervor 6 JahrenAre feminine gay guys always the friend?
I think it's fair to say most masculine GAY (not bisexual) guys only date other masculine guys, I always see comments like "I would be friends with a feminine gay guy but never date one" and stuff like that.
After hearing & seeing that aforementioned quote for so long, it made me wonder... Are fem gay guys always the friend but never the boyfriend? (75-80% of the time)
You know, like that saying "always the bridesmaid, never the bridge."
It certainly does feel that way from my experiences...
3 AntwortenLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgendervor 6 JahrenAttracted to muscular guys but..?
I'm not muscular myself. I'm a slim built guy. I do workout regularly but I am not big at all and I have no desire to become big but yet, I can't help but be very attracted to big muscular guys though from what I've witnessed, they tend to prefer each other.
I can't help but feel I'm being a bit of hypocrite of liking and wanting to be with someone I'm not like body-wise.
Do you think it's hypocritical to be attracted and wanting to date someone who is something you're not?

2 AntwortenLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgendervor 6 JahrenAre there any part time retail jobs not based in sales?
It seems that most part time jobs in stores, you need to push cards and credit to meet sales quotas and I just don't think I can do that. So I'm trying to look for part time jobs in stores that aren't based heavily in sales.
Do you know any?
1 AntwortMarketing & Salesvor 6 JahrenAlmost 24 years old and no work experience...?
I've been trying to get a job since I was 18 and just never had any luck. I tried to do call backs to which they would just tell me to wait. So I just kind of gave up when I was 21 and focused on art freelancing. And I did try to volunteer but no place ever called me back either or they "were currently full."
I recently started applying to places again and the same problem is happening. I've tried McDonalds, Walmart, retail stores in the mall... No one ever gets back to me. This is really starting to stress me out so much because I'm beginning to feel I'll never get a job at all. My dad just tells me to keep applying and I am but he just doesn't understand how difficult it is these days (he's been working the same job for 30+ years).
I also don't have any connections. I was always kind of a loner and shy person. The few friends I did make, moved away to other cities or states. So I pretty much have no one. This was more of a vent than a question but it'd be nice to hear from other individuals (in my situation and of similar age) how they cope with this.
2 AntwortenOther - Careers & Employmentvor 6 JahrenIs being skinny now a bad thing?
I can't help but get anxious about my body as I'm 5'10 weighing at 120 (I was at 130 until I got sick and lost 10 pounds). I personally like my smaller frame but I've noticed no one else really does... It just makes me wish I was a girl because being skinny as a girl isn't nearly as bad as it is for a guy.
I guess, I just want to know how you can cope with something like this?
