I'm not some scrub looking for answers to homework for university... I've already graduated and now I actually have a use for some calculus/algebra but have forgotten it all lol. A real world problem.

I'm a software engineer and we are experiencing some lag. When the computer analyzes some records the time it takes to analyze the records increases exponentially... I'm not sure what the formula is though.... The data I've collected is as follows. I'd like to see how you derive the answer:

I have the technical 'know-how' to make a website. But I need ideas for a website that aren't out there (or implemented very well).

Some of you probably have great ideas but no technical know-how. So let's hear these ideas yes?

I think that messy people are interesting. Those people who have to have everything just so. Their rooms are spotless, their books are all organized, the house is immaculate. But so are their lives... Get up at 6, iron your shirt yadda yadda.

But messy people. Their lives are un-organized just like their room. They are spontaneous and random because they don't know where they are going in the first place.

I don't understand how (at the Keg) they make their slow roasted prime rib roast still pink?

I love rare meat. The other night I thought I'd try to make a slow roasted roast but it was far from pink in the middle.

I've looked for recipes/cooking instructions on the I-net but couldn't find any.

Does anyone have some good ideas?

I'm making a program that will (given a set of letters) select a word that contains the word that contains all of the given letters. But I need a list of all the English words in the Dictionary in order to do this.

When someone says 'Only an idiot would think that coffee does not taste good'. What is this called? I can't remember the name it's like 'Abhobonym' or something...

A long time ago (maybe 1988)?? I remember this arcade game where you

were this guy that had this 'flail like' weapon - except it wasn't a flail it was more like a circular disk with spikes on the edges.

You walk on terrain made from reddish stones and these things, that had skin like a pig but looked more like a rhinoceros, would attack you. When you hit them they'd turn into a pile o' bones

Later on a RE-MAKE for the game came out for Playstatin (1 or 2 I can't remember).

I'm thinking about buying some electronic drums... I don't play drums and never have. I do have the discipline to learn an instrument as I've played piano for 14 years and have become so good at it that I"m bored of playing and want a new instrument.

naturally I'd like to pay as little as possible. But I don't want a sack of crap electronic drums. I'll pay more if I have to. What type would you recommend for a beginner looking to become an advanced player over the years?

I'm a male who works at an Earls restaurant and I constantly hear of the female workers complaining about sexual harassment from the manager. Some examples are:

He will tell the workers to wear shirts that 'bring the ladies out more'.

Put his arm around a girl and and say 'You know I as going to slap your *** but then I remembered about that sexual harassment poster in the back room there'. As though he's making a joke of the issue.

I look at the sexual harassment laws and taking action seems to require steps that realistically, in the end, would most likely result in nothing happening. They don't seem practical.

Has anyone actually followed through with taking action on this?

I live in Vancouver BC in Canada and I know downhill mountain biking is really big here. I have a mountain bike that I don't use and want to sell it but I'm having a hard time finding a good site to sell on.

Aside from the obvious Kijiji and Ebay of course...

I'm not talken microsoft here. I live in a restored 100 year old building and my windows have huge spaces between the frames.

I pay huge heating bills like 200 bux cause I have to CRANK the heat 100% due to the outside SUCKING all the heat out. Is my landlord obligated to fix this?

I went to my friends house, a long long time ago, for dinner and his Persian mom made this ridiculously good seafood soup. It was crab, mussels, scallops and other things baked or boiled in a very tasty butter sauce...

It was like soup but I don't think it was... I can't find a recipe like it anywhere.. does anyone have a recipe similar to that?

I love to cook but I'm getting sick of all my dishes. I need something fresh and tasty! I like everything. Anyone care to share their favourites? Some web addresses would be nice to the recipe's.

I'm REAL f'n bored with life. It's time to change it up drastically. I go to work then to the gym... on wednesdays it's rock climbing I come home and cook dinner then I play video games all night because there's nothing else to do.

The weekends I go on a hike but mostly I am in my apartment bored to all hell... I want to join and sign up for as many activities as possible... but WHAT? I joined a drawing course that starts soon, I'm gonna take guitar lessons.... I want to make myself as busy as possible and hopefully meet cool people while doing it.

I have a high patience threshold but these personality types make me blow my top! Society would be a utopia if it weren't for these few who ruin it for all

1) The 'experienced' inexperienced person.

This person comes into a situation where a team is working towards some goal. This person probably has the least experience of anyone yet he's bossing people around like he has knows the most. When things go awry he complains it's cause the team 'sucks' and 'didn't listen to him.' Time and time again he is shown that in the end it was the experienced people who were right all along yet he continues to fight the current.

2) The passive aggressive.

Not to stereotype but I find these people generally to be of the female brand. You KNOW what is bothering them yet they dance around it. They don't bring it out into the open they let it manifest in some other way. They do underhanded little things that are irritating and really P*SS you off but you can't call them out on it because it's not so underhanded that it's blatantly obvious that they are doing it intentionally!

3) Numb to social cues.

This person is the guy that 'can't take a hint'. It's time to leave my house because he's over stayed his welcome. I want to be nice so I drop a few hints that it's time to leave: 'Oh man I'm tired I gotta get up early tomorrow I should really hit the sack.' This is when this type of person starts a new conversation or suggests we should watch a movie.

GAWD! Boils my blood... What about you guys?

I found an awesome program a while back where I was able to select a large number of images and right click on them and select Resize Images...

I then could select dimensions of the images in which to shrink to. I formatted my hard drive and forgot to save the program and now I can't find it...

Anyone know of anything that has that type of functionality??? I need it!

I'm know there will be plenty of 'geniuses' out there with their smart- alec little responses, which they think are funny but aren't, to this question; however, I hope for at least one level headed person to lead me to a credible answer one way or the other. -crosses fingers-
