Do you believe evil in the world is increasing on a daily basis?
Or is it perhaps we are able to know about atrocities so quickly these days?
If you believe evil is on the prowl, why do you believe so? If not, why not?
My personal opinion? Evil is tantamount today. When we have children being tortured and murdered by their parents, movies about killing God and the world perched on the edge of WWIII... seems pretty bleak except for the light of Christ that shines through.

I'm talking about acts such as running into a burning building, jumping into a freezing river, getting into a wrecked, burning car to rescue someone.
Without thought, means you don't think about your own safety at all.
What would drive you to do this?

I pray the Monastic Diurnal daily-all 7 times...It is a beautiful prayer.
