  • husband indian, myself german, we are applying for a residence card?

    hi,

i am german and have been living in the uk for a bit longer than a year now, have been working for almost a year in the same job (get around 180/200 per week depending on my hours, basically working full time). my husband has been in the uk for altogether 4 years, been at home for a couple of months due to a visa problem. he is indian. he is here on post study work visa at the moment, which is going to run out in mid may. we got married in february this year in the uk itself. we are currently applying for a residence card (1 EEA1 for me and 1 EEA2 for him) and i was wondering if my income could be any problem as in the EEA2 application they are only asking for my income (which basically means i act as his sponsor) although he is working full time as well (he earns more than i do)? i ve been looking for information on this for very long but never found a straight answer, do we need a certain income or is it important that i can sponsor him (which probably means i am not earning enough if i have to) or will it be alright if he sends some of his payslips as well to prove he has got a steady and good income? or is there generally anythign we needto take care of? anything that could cause problems? i am really desperate about this and would be really grateful if anyone could help me with that.

ohh and will we need any proof of some private insurance or will the NI number be enough?

    thanks in advance :)
