  • Kennel Cough - I'm pretty sure ...?

Before we ever get started - she's going to the vet in the morning!! lol

Question is this ... We just had a couple move in behind us (share a back fence line) which have two adult dogs. My dog has made friends with them and been nosing with them whenever she goes out. These two new dogs seem healthy and I haven't heard them coughing (but they only come out to potty too). Can my dog get kennel cough from them but yet those two show NO signs what so ever?

  • Who's getting tired of ....?

All of the redundant questions of "who's voting for Obama/McCain" - "How stupid is McCain" - "How racists is Obama" ... and the list goes on.

Is this getting old to you? If so, please vent away here. Another question is - Why can't people post things of validity?

  • Do you feel as you grow older your core values and thoughts on the world change from what you were raised?

This is directed to the 30+ age range. I'm just curious if you feel that what your parents taught you, what you learned in school, etc have changed now that you're older and can make your own path in life. I know mine have. I sometimes feel as if I'm a stranger with wild and crazy ideas about how things should be when I'm talking to my own family.

Have you experienced this, or has your upbringing only gotten stronger through your journey in life?

Please no stupid answers - it's more of a survey than anything else.

  • Adoption of boyfriend's nephews ... I would just like some solid opinions please?

I know someone that has been dating this guy for a year now. She's 20 and he's 19. His sister had her children (3) removed from her custody when she went to jail for theft, drugs and something else. They were in foster care up until about 2 months ago when the foster family said they couldn't take them in any longer. These two decided to take them, and now are saying they're adopting them. The girl doesn't work, hasn't worked since she was fired from her last job about 6 months ago, and he flips from odd job to odd job about every 5 - 6 weeks. They don't have a car. They were just given eviction papers. The peope they associate with are known (have arrest records) drug dealers and users. The mother of these kids hangs out with them on a daily basis.

Now, my questions are ... What is CPS thinking? Do you think these two have any chance of actually adopting these 3 young children?

I don't get involved. I'm just tied to this by marriage. I'm curious of your opinions.

  • What do you think ... ?

So many people are confused about how the US government works. They think that the President makes laws and sends troops to war. They rarely even mention the House of Reps anymore. They tend to not know who to blame for what's really going on in America ....

Should people have to pass a general government test in order to be registered to vote in America?

I'm not asking about an IQ test or referring to people as voting on emotion or whatever ... I'm just saying they should know who does what AFTER the votes go through and maybe there won't be so much anger and discontent with the wrong person or people in Washington.

  • How much could I expect to be offered for working as a contracted nurse / EMT (paramedic) with KBR?

Curious of salaries offered. I've looked at their website, but it does not offer wage amounts. I was wondering if anyone has worked for them in that field and could give an estimate of what to expect. Thank you.

  • What is Barack Obama's actual race? ... and how do you come to your conclusion?

Personally, I'm tired of hearing about how he's African-American. He's not. He's an American that happens to be born of an African father. Now granted that does make him more "African-American" than others that claim that label, but still the fact is that he is not. Also, what about the other half of his gene pool? If he's black then he's just as much white. It took two people to create him ... one black (his father) and the other white (his mother). That, to me, means he's equally black and white. However, cultural up bringing does tend to play a lot into how you classify yourself. His black father abandoned him at a young age, so his white mother and her family raised him in their homes until he went to college. Does that mean he's more white than black? Is it just because his skin is slightly darker and hair courser than mine that he's black?

I say he's white. His mother is white and she (and her white family) raised him. Why does he deny his white side so? hmmm

  • What type of parent skips out of the country to work for KBR and avoids her son when he asks her where she is?

Do you think that companies such as KBR should force their employees to notify the custodial parent of where they will be working in cases where child support is still being paid? These parents (my son's mother to be the subject of this question) are able to flee the country, have no contact, and drop all legal obligations in the blink of an eye if they so choose to! Even after our son questioned her about where she was and why she no longer answered her phone she continued to LIE to him and avoided him by hanging up on him. I was just wondering if anyone else ever ran into this issue with lousy pieces of sh** parents that treat their kids like crap, like Donna does with hers. If so, what avenue did you take to resolve it? Did you have to start a whole new court proceeding to make them just comply with the already set order? Is there a group to share frustrations, information, and help about these child support jumping people?
