My friend is a year out from divorce and I was trying to put together. "Surviving divorce kit" for him. The aim is to be funny...so far I have bourbon and a nudie magazine...other ideas thanks!

So my friend introduced me to this guy because he wanted to meet a "nice girl"...we are both in graduate school. We hung out in a big group for his bday and seemed to have a lot of fun and I ended up sleeping over (yeah bad I know). The next morning he referenced hanging out at some point, but didn't ask for my number which I thought was strange, but then texted my friend and said he thought I was really cool. A day later he sent me a facebook message, asked for my number and said he'd like to hang out sometime. I responded with my number and said that would be cool essentially. I have not seen or talked to since to mess it up haha...it has been about a week and a half and haven't heard anything from him. Anyone know what the deal is here? I was considering sending this facebook message...think it would freak him out? 10 points for honest answers!

so not to sound like "that creeper girl", but hadn't heard from you and thought I'd go out on a limb...it was really refreshing to meet someone that was actually interesting to talk to, as well as nice and attractive...I've found it to be kind of a rarity. So in short, you'd be someone I'd be interested in getting to know better outside of the drunkedness that was your birthday haha So if you're interested in catching any of the march madness games let me know, even if it just ends up as someone fun to hang out with. If you're too busy or just not interested, no hard feelings and just take the compliment that you're a pretty cool guy : )

I keep getting bands in my negative control for my colony pcr reactions (I have been using 10 mm upper and lower primers 1.5 ul each, mgcl2 3 ul, 6 ul 5x buffer, 0.5 ul taq, and 1 ul dntp, and the rest with ddh2o to 29 ul) I have used filtered tips and have changed all reagents (no lb in my negative controls just the master mix)

These are really bright bands I am getting, not just primer dimer....suggestions!?!?! Thanks!

Wondering if anyone had any suggestions for confirming the correct sequence of an ITR in plasmid DNA...we have been having problems with recombination and had the thought to design primers for the ITR which is difficult due to dimerization. We have been using enzyme digests with variable results but was wondering if anyone had any suggestions to ensure we have the correct ITR before we send the plasmid for viral packaging thanks!

My brother goes to the gym everyday, he isn't really into tracking his workouts and he doesn't work out at home ever. I work in a lab and need to buy stainless steel cylinders with dimensions of outer diameter of 3 mm and inner diameter of 2mm...a lab tech corporation would be best but I can't find anything. The length of the cylinder doesn't really matter, the longer the better. anyone have any suggestions thanks!

My roommate who is also a really good friend (we're in medical school together) is pursuing my boyfriend's brother (who lives 2 hours away, they meet through me a couple weeks ago. My boyfriend's brother is never without a girlfriend (he's the long term type) and my roommate is pretty desperate.

Like any person, I vent to my roommate about my boyfriend, and I vent to my boyfriend when my roommate annoys me (they are the only 2 people I really ever vent to), and I'm sure my boyfriend vents to me to his brother because they are close.

I just feel like my space is being taken away from me and I don't want to share my boyfriend's family during holidays and stuff with my roommate I just feel like that's my territory since we've been dating for 2 years and everyone needs there space from friends.

These things never really concern me because I always figure they will blow over, but I'm pretty good with predicting how relationships end up 9 times out of 10 and with their dynamic I don't see them breaking up. What should I do? My roommate is pretty understanding but would be upset and probably tell my boyfriend's brother who would tell his family and make me look like I'm "controlling and selfish". What's the best thing to do...I can't just do nothing, because I'm feel way to crowded.

I have a 2005 toyota camry (no its not on the list of affect car's Toyota has). When I accelerate from a stop the car makes a gurgling noise which then stops when I get to a constant speed. The faster I accelerate the louder it is, if I accelerate slowly it isn't as loud. It also occasionly happens when I'm stopped like at a light (not in park). I know I need to go to a mechanic but how bad is it probably/what's wrong? Could you list approximate estimate for what that costs just ballpark if you can...thanks in advance
