Foundation Repair Question?
Just bought a home that had foundation work done (I have a transferable warranty).
Questions is, some of the access holes on the side of the house where access was used to installed the piers was not refilled. Should the dirt have been replaced at all points, or were they supposed to remain unfilled to allow moisture?

2 AntwortenReligion & Spiritualityvor 1 JahrzehntHelp. I'm Clueless!!!?
I'm a guy in my 40's, going to Thailand to meet my ex-filipina gf to finally ask her to marry me. I was in the military but am now out, so I need some clothes to go to Thailand. So I went to the mall and bought some pants and shirts, but nothing really goes together, and I don't know if the stuff I bought is good for someone of my height and build (short 5'6" slim to medium athleticbuild), and color to go with my skin tone and hair color (I'm hispanic so my skin is darker than a cashew but lighter than an almond :) with black hair). Is there a website or can someone help with any tips? I'm going to return most of what I have, and need t start from scratch. Keep in mind, it's hot and humid in Thailand. Also, and stores that might have more of what you think I should look for. Lastly, help with color coordinationg and shoe type and color coordinationg. Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance (even the inevidable 2-3 wise a$$e$ who statistically will make comments).

i have a couple of russet potatos, a box of Kraft macaroni & Cheese, and some hamburger meat. I want to brown the hamburger meat in a skillet, them mix it in with the mac& cheese. and use the meat mixed with the mac & cheese as a topping for a baked potato. Will this work (aside from the caloric and fat issue. but i'm poor and this is all i have). Or do you have another suggestion ( i want to take the leftovers for lunch tomorrow)

Why are we allowing a brutal dictatorship to make so much money off of us? Also, American business who manufacture their products in China say their plants are "American run" or "American managed", but the fact is the plants are OWNED by the Chinese government. Name me a business where a manager has more say so than the owner. I saw a documentary of the plant where the mardi gras beads are made. 15 & 16 year olds working 12 hour shifts. Boys and girls are seperated, and they sleep 6 to a dorm, which is locked from the outside. They do get paid, a token amount, which they spend when they are taken to town for 1 hour a week. Anti freeze in toothpaste, poison in dog food, lead and cadmium in kids toys, and it never ends. And all they do is execute some scapegoat and say "problem solved." Sure, you can get a dozen socks for $1.99, but at what cost to our souls?

7 years without a SINGLE spending bill veto. 1 trillion on a now admittidely pointless war, 11 trillion for Rx drug program that went unfunded, expanded farm subsidies, the trillion dollar bailout half of which no one can vouch for where it went. i can go on, but why did you not protest government spending and "socialism" then?
11 AntwortenPoliticsvor 1 JahrzehntAren't farm subsidies and ag policy socialism?
After the republicans and their supporters get through killing health care reform on the principle that government involvement in the free market is socialism, will they all then go on to protest at more events to call for an end to all crop subsidies such as corn, peanuts, beans, cotton, rice, sugar, etc., and call for an end to agricultural policies that limit competition in the global market? Taking my tax dollars and giving it to a farmer to NOT grow something so that the market will do what the farmers want it to do is socialism. I urge all to contact the republicans to force them to stop this madness since they are the only ones who porportedly "care" enough to stop socialism.

16 AntwortenReligion & Spiritualityvor 1 JahrzehntPLease help with bifocal contact lens question.?
I saw the same eye doctor for 3 years, and the last visit (a little over a year ago) he told me that the next time i might need bi-focal contact lenses. Well, I have different insurance, so i went to another eye doctor. she seems young, and i can't find her listed on my states medical board web site, but i'm sure she is licensed. anyway, my first visit she asked if i wore contacts to watch t.v. or read, etc. i said i usually wore them until the end of the day. my first contact lens Rx was too fuzzy, so when i went back i mentioned what the previous doctor told me, and that maybe it was time for bi-focal lenses. she then Rx bifocal lenses, but she gave me one Rx for my right eye to see far away, and a different Rx for my left eye to see up close. naturally, i see somewhat blurry, but she said my eyes would get usd to it. it's going on day 3, and it's just as fuzzy as it was on day 1. not only that, but i feel like i'm bugged eyed focusing out of one eye to see far, and another to see close. I just looked up bifocal lenses and i read that they have 2 Rx/s in each lens. My question is (finally) is this normal to Rx a far lens for one eye and a close lens for another eye? whay aren't the contacts i have dual Rx in each contact iof they are supposed to be bi-focal. I'm wondering if I should go to another Dr., or if this doctor is making sense as to what she is doing. Naturally, I will approach her, but I want some education first from someone who knows. Thanks.

WICHITA, Kan. – The man charged in the shooting death of abortion provider Dr. George Tiller warned Sunday that more violence is possible.
Scott Roeder, being held on charges of first-degree murder and aggravated assault in Tiller's killing one week ago, called The Associated Press from the Sedgwick County jail.
Tiller, whose Wichita clinic was among only a few in the U.S. performing third-trimester abortions, was shot while serving as an usher at the Lutheran church he attended.
"I know there are many other similar events planned around the country as long as abortion remains legal," Roeder said.
He would not elaborate.
