  • Can I use an antenna, like a cable cutter antenna such as Aerowave, on a new flat screen tv?

It comes withan RG6 coax cable so I'm not sure if that will even hook up to this kind of television...

I am trying to get the basic cable channels i.e. NBC, ABC, FOX & CBS for my boyfriend for free to surprise him. He is too lazy to do so. lol So, obviously I am not wanting to buy a cable box or start a subscription of any kind. He doesn't currently have cable; he just watches Netflix through his Playstation. Is there a way to do this? Please help!

  • The Little Mermaid banned cover with the penis on the castle..?

The copy I used to have also had "F*ck You" written in the water at the bottom, but every copy I see on ebay only has the penis in the castle and no "FU" in the water. Why is this? I specifically remember it. Does anyone else remember the "FU?" I'm trippin' out right now... Cuz I know it was there but can't find it anywhere...

  • Secret shoppers asking about prostitution?

A friend of mine got suspended pending investigation from a Las Vegas casino after a secret shopper supposedly asked him about where he could get a hooker... The shopper put in his report that my friend made an eye gesture down the bar toward a hooker. My friend said he absolutely did not do anything of the sort. Anyway, the investigation is ongoing and I was wondering if you think he will get fired? He has a good argument because he did not verbally respond and he rolled his eyes at the guy, which the guy interpreted as an "eye gesture." I am really worried about him. Is there any way they can fire him for that, or will the Union be able to get him out if this because there was no verbal response and only a subjectable "eye gesture?"

Maybe I should be asking if you think they WILL fire him. I know they can do whatever they want, but do you think they will go that route or just merely write him up and slap him on the wrist? If they do fire him, do you think there's a chance of the Union saving his job if he grieves the decision?

  • Undercover vice in Las Vegas?

Can you get fired from a Las Vegas casino for making a joke about prostitution in front of undercover vice? My friend is on suspension pending investigation because him and a few other coworkers made a joke about hookers and as it turns out, there happened to be an undercover vice cop there. The cop filled out a report against him and we are all concerned about him getting fired. I want to know how serious this is and if my friend has a chance of coming back to work or not. I know this sort of thing is taken seriously, obviously, but I'm hoping someone out there has maybe been through something similar and can tell me what to expect when he gets called in to HR to answer for himself?? Thanks so much! Super nervous for him!!

  • Phone speaker does not work?

I bought a new handset cordless (land line) phone a few months back and have never had trouble with it until now. I cannot hear anything but people can hear me, also it does dial out but can't hear it ringing when I'm calling someone, it's just silent. There IS a dial tone however before I start to dial.

I have tried unplugging it and taking the batteries out then plugging it all back in.... This does not work. The speaker doesn't see to be working properly, but I'm not sure that's what the problem is since I do hear the ringtone. Hmmmm... Any suggestions?

    This is a vetch phone.

    Thanks.

  • Ranch Dressing?

I can't seem to find creamy Ranch anywhere and every time I ask a store clerk they direct me to the salad dressing aisle and don't seem to know any other place. That's not what I'm looking for. I'm wanting the creamy kind that you would dip chicken fingers and French fries into, not the kind that is kind of stiff that you would use for dipping potato chips. It's very different.

Do I have to make it at home or am I missing something here?

I always ask for some to go every time we eat at a restaurant because it is the best kind and I can't find it in the grocery store. What's up with that?

    Thanks.

  • Tenant/Landlord Situation?

If you owned a rental home and received a letter in the mail from the neighbor of the property saying that your tenants are being extremely loud and disrespectful to the rest of the neighborhood, would you be concerned? What if it was a matter of their children making entirely too much noise? Assume this person that wrote the letter owns the home next door; they are not renters but are concerned about your renters you have living in the home and have had a lot of trouble with them. What if the letter mentioned that they were considering getting the police and/or attorneys involved? Would you, as the landlord, just have a talk with your tenants and tell them to have their kids keep it down, or would you consider not renewing their lease and looking for new tenants in order to avoid any more trouble? In other words, would a letter like this concern you enough to tell the tenants that they are on thin ice, or would you not want the trouble and just find new renters?

  • Can I get my neighbors evicted?

I on my home, they do not own theirs. They have five kids so the noise in UNBEARABLE!! I have asked them many times to keep it down, they say they will but don't. It has escalated to the point that their kids are harassing me (i.e. throwing rocks on my patio, one of which struck a houseguest of mine, ringing the doorbell then running off, etc...). I called the police the last time this happened and they came out and told the kids to stay off of my property. The next day the mom was outside screaming obscenities at me as I drove out of my garage. She said, "Watch how loud my kids are going to be now!" By the time I had gotten home they had erected a basketball hoop in front of their house so that their kids can drive me even more batty. The HOA was no help, so far the police have been no help, the county enforcer has been no help yet. I was curious if anyone out there has had a similar situation and how you resolved it. My attorney friend said he would not recommend having him write a letter to the landlord; that if I wanted to do so, I should just do it myself and not go the legal route.

I do plan on writing that letter to their landlord. I got his name off of the assessor's website. I'm curious what your opinion is on whether or not he will evict them or just give them warnings or what he might say. I know I'd be upset if I had tenants living on my property harassing the other neighbors. I also know that this could take a very long time. How would you suggest going about this with their landlord? Thank you!!

  • Laws against not carding for alcohol?

I really need to know a definite answer to this and can not seem to find it online so far. Is there a fine or penalty for not carding someone in the state of Nevada for an alcoholic beverage? Someone told me recently that if you get caught not carding that you could get a fine or the establishment you are serving in could be fined EVEN IF THE PERSON YOU SERVED ENDS UP BEING OF LEGAL AGE! Is this true?!

I know there are guidelines for carding (i.e. card everyone that apperas to be under age 40, etc...) but as I understand it, that is not a law, just a suggestion.

A friend of mine recently lost his job for this. He served a man liquor and then the man's father complained to management that the server (my friend) did not card him and that they were offended. The guy was of legal drinking age though. The bar fired him immediately, stating that they could be fined just because he didn't card the guy, regardless of his true age.

I'm thinking he may have a wrongful termination lawsuit on his hands (not that he wants to pursue such drastic measures). This got me very curious though as to the laws and regulations in Nevada.

Again, I know there are steep laws against serving minors... What I need to know is if there is a LAW against not carding, and whether or not one could be fined for serving someone without carding them, regardless of actual age.

Please help. Any info or links you could provide would be GREATLY appreciated! Thank you so much.

  • Financial Aid vs.Out of Pocket?

I am curious if anyone can tell me how financial aid works. I am planning on going to optometry school in a few years; tuition costs about 32k/year. How much of that will I be covered? I am trying to figure out how much will be out of pocket and how much I will need to save up ahead of time. Thanks for any insight as to how this process works. I have never used financial aid before.

  • Who should I leave my money to?

I own my home and have a bit of money. As of right now my will states that everything will go to my sister when I die... But, we are not close, in fact, I really don't like her as a person... at all. We are not close, but she is the ONLY family I have in the world. I know that if she did get a big check for my death, she would jsut blow it. She has neve been good with money and is the most extremely selfish person I've ever met! She refuses to get a job and take care of her own family. She makes her husband work more than full time and ABSOLUTELY REFUSES to work! Yet, she spends all of their money on bullshit. They take vacations they can't afford and don't know how to save. She borrowed a bit of money from me this time last year and promised to pay me back. I haven't heard from her since.... I can't stand the thought of her or her selfish family getting my home and money if something should happen to me. Thinking about changing my will ti leave it to my best friend of all time.. but I don't know what the right thing to do is. Charity sounds good too, but how could I leave it to charity when there are people that I care about that could really use that money? I need advice. Please! What would you do?

  • Can you overdose on ambien?

A professional therapist once told me that you can not really overdose (fatally) on ambien, that you would just fall asleep. She said that you would kind of plateau, that you can only get so "high." Taking 10 would really have the same effect as taking 3... and so on. Does anyone know if this is true? Any professionals, I'm not looking for people's opinion, I want facts! I've never heard of anyone dying from taking too many ambien before (other than car accidents and such), is there any long term harm to your body or brain from taking excessive amounts of this drug on nightly basis?

I can't fall asleep without it anymore and my tolerance has gone up so bad that I have to take multiple pills to feel relaxed enough to fall asleep.. i'm just worried about whether or not this is a truly "bad" thing?
