  • should we answer simple homeworks?

i think students here should first learn how to research for answers. those questions having answers that can be found in books and in the World Wide Web should not be answered.

or maybe we can provide links to Web sites where they could find the answers.

  • Working as a teacher/English tutor for a family in Nigeria?

I got this e-mail from a German who lives in Nigeria. He wants me to teach his wife English. He offered a very handsome and attractive compensation package. I mean the salary is good. I told him I'd love to.

But the drawback is that he wants me to go to Nigeria. He wants someone who will accompany his wife [who's not fluent in English] when she shops or talk to other people in English. He appears to be kind. He said they are a happy Christian family. In fact, he sent me a wedding photo with a priest/minister. He told me where he works, what his position is and even gave me his company's phone number and e-mail address. Included in the compensation package is a round trip ticket from where I am to Nigeria. I also searched his company and email address, and indeed, they all exist, including his managerial position in the company.

As for me, i have a degree in Computer Science and no ESL cert.

My question is, would it be wise for me to accept the offer? Is it safe?

    Thanks for any help!
