Assume you have partial memory loss. Maybe less than half your memories have been erased. Are you still the same person you were before the loss?

I say this because a Christian friend of mine told me his idea of heaven was that "we all forget what sin is". If they forget what sin is, isn't that worse than forgetting a memory? Are you really the same person you were before you forgot?

Assuming that the particles eventually annihilate, and that particles moving backwards in time appear to have the opposite charge, could it simply be a single particle moving in a circle in time?

Just wondering.

When you meet someone for the first time, what do you remember most about them?

I mean, yeah he's a bad guy, but didn't Jesus preach infinite forgiveness? Have you never prayed to save Satan from his fate? All I have ever heard from Christians is that the Devil is to be hated and/or pitied. Surely someone would have compassion for this poor misguided soul. If not then how can you say you are forgiving or loving, if you only reach out to the lesser evils?

Boredom makes you think of strange questions. Well, anyway, what smells do you relate to or think relate to various religions or ideologies?

Most elaborate and/or most accurate (in my biased opinion) win the points. Please, don't say any sort of excrement, because it makes kittens cry.

Infusionism: a pre-existing human soul enters the body by infusion at conception or birth.

Creationism: a soul is created for the body, with no pre-existence.

Traducianism: an individual's soul is derived from the souls of the individual's parents.

What I mean is, does anyone know of someone who could care less about the slaughter of animals to make meat, but doesn't eat meat because they don't like the taste? I've heard many people say they are both a moral vegetarian and a vegetarian for taste reasons, and that's not what I mean. I'm looking for one single person who doesn't eat meat because they just don't like the taste or texture.

Simple question, so don't over-complicate the answers.

Okay, say a god did create the world in seven days. From the scientific view, it would have had to cover up this fact and make it appear to have formed over billions of years.

So, assuming there was/is a god, why would it go to such lengths to remain unknowable?

I know the animal and human realms observe each other, and that the Asuras can see the Deva realm, but what about the Pretas and Hell beings? And can the Devas see the Asura realm too?

I find Ecclesiastes to be one of the smartest books. It was written by the smartest man of the Old Testament (Solomon). Why does no one bring it up in church or at youth group, or even on here?

I mean, aside from the epilogue (which was added on later), Ecclesiastes is an excellent book.

1. The how (process) or the why (reason)?

2. Who (people) or what (animals/environment)?

3. Where (space) or when (time)?

...and why?

For example: suppose someone were to die now, would it be possible for them to be reborn in a time period earlier than now?

To take it a step further, could two people alive at the current time hold the same soul, with one from a previous life and one from a future life?

Take this as hypothetical if you disbelieve reincarnation or souls.
