  • Is it becoming more likely that Clinton will be Obama's running mate with McCain pulling closer in the polls?

During the overseas trip that Obama took, the polls that are coming in appears McCain is closing the gap in battle ground states.

If this trends continues and with Clinton able to bring in a signifigant amount of votes, is it possible Hilliary gets on the ticket?

If she does get on the ticket, how do Obama supportors feel about that? And would it bring back most, if not all of those 18 million votes?

  • Obama and public financing?

I don't completely understand this deal. I know I will get supporters on either side expressing their opinion, but that isn't what I am looking for. I just want the facts.

He has raised 266 million dollars for the the primary election. Can he only spend that money up to the Democratic convention? Or can he continue to use that money up until the election? By turning down the public financing what are the actuall impacts?

I understand that people will have a problem with his flip flop in his stance about public financing, but if he doesn't take taxpayer money, isn't that a good thing? Or does it mean that during the presidential election he is limited to only the 85 million?

Please, someone explain this as best you can, because the more I read about this topic the more I am confused.

I'm not asking as a supporter of either party, just looking to get more information that clears up this issue.

  • To Clinton supporters: Why is it when Hillary flat out lies it is called a misstatement?

I don't have anything against Hillary per say, but the blind devotion by her supporters baffles me.

How she claims to have dodged sniper fire, then video pops up to show she just flat out lied.

I couldn't vote for her after that. I really want to know how her supporters able to look beyond that.

I am not Clinton Bashing, I am not looking for bitter short answers, I really want to know how you got past that.

  • Visiting Venice; question on what to expect.?

I will be in Venice for a couple of days. I will be staying on the mainland and traveling each day to Venice. now I'm told it is better to avoid the tourist (which I will be) areas but I am wanting to feed the pigeons, visit the large water fountain that I saw on the the travel channel (suppose to be one of the largest fountains), and of course the gondola ride. I will be traveling on my honeymoon which pretty much forces me to go on the overpriced gondola ride, but would anyone have better suggestions on activities, places to eat, and transportation to and from the island. Thank you for your input.

  • Visiting Rome; questions on what to expect.?

I will be in Rome for only a 3 days. I hope to spend a day at the Vatican and another day to see the Colosseum. What should I expect for each of these visits and what is the best way to travel within the city? As in London, the tube is the easiest, but as far as I can tell similar public transportation isn't as easy to find. I could be wrong as I have never been, so I'm forced to ask. Thank you.

  • soon going on honeymoon to venice and rome, can anyone help me with some helpful italian phrases?

Going on my honeymoon in September. I would prefer to be armed with some helpful phrases in the native tongue so that I can help reduce the tourist friction between ourselves and the locals. Does anyone speak Italian?
