Basically I m trying to create a script that when ran will look for any devices in the registry key that begin with a double slash and remove them. I can go into more detail but it would be lengthy and pointless. There are to many names to just write a script with all of them. I can handle writing the loop but I need help getting this part to work first. Thanks in advance for any help.

I need to take a users input such as 10:35 and put it into a variable of hours and minutes. How can I do this using the colon as the separate for the two? This is how the assignment requires it be entered.

Example of what I am doing.

Here is my problem, something or someone on my network is eating up the whole T1 line and i need to resolve this issue. I got a swtich that everything is being piped through to the firewall with only my PC hooked to it as well. This part i know is setup right problem i'm having is getting wireshark to pick up other packets, it just keeps showing the ones from my PC. Wincap is installed and it is in promiscous mode so just not sure what i'm doing wrong.

I need to know where in Leopard can i change which OS will boot by default. I'm dual booting Leopard and XP on my work PC for troubleshooting purposes.

I old laptop is giving me issues. Most the PCs have XP pro and are part of the domain but this laptop has Home and its really not worth upgrading to pro just to join the domain. We have an Exchange 2007 server on the LAN along with several other servers. No DHCP server all the IPs are manually configured. I have an IP scanner so I know there are no IP conflicts. This 1 laptop though when I send myself an e-mail it take from 3 hours to several days to send the e-mail. I have traced the problem to the laptop. The server records show that as soon as it gets the e-mail it sends it to my inbox. Its just the 1 comp I'm having the issue with and the domain suffix and wins have been entered. Any ideas? cause both me and our 3rd party IT have had no luck with it.

Anyone know how you unlock the different stuff for your online model? I have been searching for a while and not found anything.

Ok so I ****** up. I accedently clicked the zip file i was trying to transfer to another PC and it seems to have extracted to the zip drive. It was a driver zip and I guess its write protected cause now i can't write anything to the flash drive or delete anything. I have tried formatting also and get the same message about it being write protected. Anyone got any ideas on how I can fix it?

It use to come and go but now its constent. My finger and part of my hand feel like they are "asleep" with almost like a numbness. They are not numb though if i poke my finger i do feel it just as much as any other finger. Anyone know what causes this or what can help relieve it?

I will link both products i'm looking at on the bottom of this. I'm an IT so keep stupid answers to yourself your not fooling anyone. I don't have much experience with wireless yet but I'm about to put an access point in at work for 2 laptops. What i don't get is the wireless router is 15 dollars cheaper. The router is itself an access point/4 port switch/router. While the access point is just that and thats all it is. Any insitful information would be great thanks.

all of a sudden my flash drive doesn't work. When i click on it, it says its not formatted and it won't let me reformat it. I had just used it to transfer a driver update to another XP Pro computer.

I was trying to wipe the HD and change the OS to XP from 2000. I did a new install and now its got both OS how do i remove the 2000?

Our mail server keeps having issues with e-mail delivery. Normally i works fine but here and there it will take up to 24 hours for it to deliver an e-mail (this has even happened within the LAN). We have also had problems with it getting rejected from other mail servers that we send mail to daily. Anyone got any ideas how I can track down the problem?

Well I figured i would give firefox a try since everyone thinks its so great. When I try to log into my companies online store front though i get this message "your browser doesn't support the Administrator windows". Is there a addon download i need to get? I didn't see anything in the options that would apply to this.

My problem is this the company I work for has just set up an online store front on a server in our LAN. Our ISP every once in a while goes down for a few hours. With the companies that will be using our storefront will have a fit if they cann't access it right when they want to. So we want to back it up with comcast cause its way cheaper then a second T1 provider, but I'm not sure if its possible cause DSL and comcast have different ways that the signal is sent plus there is the IP address issue. Even any ideas on other ways to back it up would be great thanks.
