Self Clean Oven Cycle?
I ran my self cleaning cycle on my GE standard 30" range last night. I had to turn it off after only 30 minutes. Even with the vent on and window open, the house was filled with a smokey look, the fire alarm went off, and the smell was so bad that my husband and I had horrible headaches. Even this morning the house still had an odd smell to it.
I have never had such a thing happen with previous stoves self cleaning cycles. The oven was not THAT dirty, but there were a few spots that I couldn't scrub off so I wanted to see of the cycle would take care of it. I couldn't run it for long, though.
Has anyone else heard of this extreme a reaction from an oven's self clean cycle? Or is there a defect in the stove. I have tried to search on GEs site, but there is not much info on the cycle. The wait time at customer service is hours, and I cannot stay on hold today.
Thanks for any info/input!
3 AntwortenMaintenance & Repairsvor 1 JahrzehntBMs refusing gift for day?
Has anyone else had bridesmaids come back to you and say they don't want their makeup professionally done? My fiance and I have hired one of the best makeup artists in the area to do mine and my maids makeup. We know that $70 is a little steep (it's normally $50, which is normal for our area, plus an extra $20 per person because they are coming to our hotel instead of the salon), so we decided to pay for it ourselves for the girls. They are still, however, saying they don't want anyone to do their makeup and they want to do it themselves. I am worried about this because I think they are going to look washed out in all our professional pictures, especially the ones from a distance. The pictures are really important to us - we want everyone to look their best for the day, and we offered to pay for it as a gift (in addition to all the other gifts we have gotten them!) so they don't have to . . . is it normal for them to refuse anyway? This really surprised me! I thought they would be excited about it! I am a little offended that they refused the gift.
