i have an 02 cavalier,would it even be worth the time or should i uprgrade to the h.o. alt..i have a powerbass 1000.1d asa, mtx 6404 for the highs.2-10 in earthquakes dbxi(old school red ones) in a ported box,2-4x6 pioneer(front doors),2-6.5 planet audios(rear deck)and a clarion eq,no headunit,running my ipod straigh to the eq

i have a powerbass 1000.1 asa amp that came with the bass knob but n the process of moving i lost it.i do have a clarion eq hooked up now in the car with a mtx 75rmsx 4 for the highs, but i miss the bass,so i will hook it up this weekend but wanted to know if i really need the knob or will the eq do the job as it has its own bass control..
