the recent massacre of 93 people in norway has increased my belief that religion is bad for humanity. more people have been killed in the name of god (any religion) than anything in the history of man. crusades, salem witch trials, recent terrorist attacks, and now the norway massacre the list goes on and on. would the world be better off without religion?

i've been going to the gym for awhile now and have seen progress in the last 3 months since i've been going. but now i feel like i need to try out some new/harder routines. what do you do at the gym? what would you suggest i do to get bigger? im a 19 year old male i weigh about 140 and am 5 ft 8 in. i would like to get up to 160 eventually

im a 19 year old young man and i've been friends with a 21 year old girl for a long time we go back. i know what your thinking but it is possible to be just friends with the opposite sex. recently she moved away and we kind of lost contact, we would talk from time to time and have regular convo like when she lived up my way ( how you doin, bullshit, joke around) but just not as often. i started realizing she's never really been thaaat great of a friend, or even person for that matter, while she was away, and i kind of began to like the fact the she was gone. she decided to move again (she went from A to B then to C. not back where im at) and she was coming up to visit before she move again.

she comes back and jumps into my arms and starts friggin crying tellin me how much she "loves me". and i'm just sitting there thinking "dammit i was over you, now you come and tell me this?"

now i don't know what to do. i don't really want to be her friend anymore but i kind of feel obligated to because we've known each other so long. and this whole love talk is freaking me out and i don't know where the F that came from? i guess what i want to know is this. ladies give me some insight on what might be going on in her head and, everybody, what would you do if you were me?

I've been friends with "Susan" for a almost 5 years. At first we weren't great friends but after some time we became really close friends, hanging out, or at least talking on the phone several times a week for most of that time. Out of nowhere "susan" decides to go on a vacation, she leaves for two weeks and doesn't tell anyone that she left. she eventually called me after a week and told me that she was ok and that she'd be back soon. the day she gets back she tells me that she's moving down to where she was vacationing and she'll be leaving in 5 days.

Here's where my concern is... during those 5 days she made no attempts to call or show any sign of interest in saying goodbye. It breaks my heart to think that someone i cared about so much doesn't even have the decency to think of how i feel. She has been talking alot recently about moving forward with her life and making something of herself. We are both young im 19, shes 21 and i fully moving on with her life, Truly im happy for her. it's just really difficult to see a friend leave. and the way she did it... i just don't understand.

ive been really close friends with these two people for about 5 years. i introduced them and they started dating soon after that. i recently stayed the night at they're house. in the middle of the night i got up to use the bathroom and while i was doing my business i heard something... them having sex and being sooooo loud. I was disgusted by this. it's not like i've never heard people having sex, im 19 years old, its just them doing it and me hearing it that bothers me. now i feel like i never want to see them again.
