  • What is your routine like with your 2 year old?

Also how do you teach them colors and alphabets and numbers? And how do you play with them without being bored?

Also how much time do you spend on your laptop/phone?

  • What did/ do you feed you 8 month old?

Hey, I'm just wondering what you feed your baby so I can figure out what to feed mine, I was a bit late introducing solid foods as we just moved and there was a death in the family. But for the last month in a half I've started by daughter on The cereals, and the veggies and the fruits. Right now she's having cereal in the morning with some formula, and a fruit or veggie puree in the day.I know its not enough, so I need your schedules, the amounts you feed and any other helpful advice you cn give me, thank -you!

  • Is this realistic? DDR to lose weight?

So in the last 3 years my weight ballooned from 165pounds- 230 pounds and went from a size 8 to a size 18. In the last month I've dropped to 222 pounds by changing my diet. My daughter is 7 months and I don't drive so its difficult for me to get to a gym. But once my house is finished and I actually have a living room, my plan is to start playing DDR for an hour everyday.

When I was my size 8 self, I played DDR everyday and when we moved I quit playing because the naibours conplained. In less than a year I went to 190 pounds. Then with my pregnancy I gained 40. I don't drink anything except water (I don't like carbonated drinks and juice is expensive).

My goal in a years time is to lose about 50-65 pounds with proper eating (which I've started...simply put I just don't but the junk anymore) for a weight loss goal of about 5 pounds/month.

So what do you think? Realistic or not?

  • Is tv going to have an influence on my daughter at this age, or not really?

So my daughter is 7 months, and I watch criminal minds, greys anatomy, big bang theroy, and a few cartoons here and there. Does it matter what I watch, I mean will she pick on it, or should I not worry until she's older? I don't neglect her, I talk to her and play, and she can say momma, dadda, nana, bum and hi. I just like watching my shows...is there any age where I should just watch these things while she naps?

  • Does my daughter have very little chance of dying from SIDS now she can roll over?

I found her on all fours in her cradle this morning, now I know I have to move her into a crib, but is her risk of sids drastically reduced? She is 18 weeks, so about 4 and half months old. She can roll over a bit when I give her tummy time.

  • Being a parent to my brother in law? Parents help!?

So my brother in law is 11 and due to his bad behaviour my husband offered to take him for a few days. Now the mom doesn't want him back and wants up to keep him perminately. He can not live with his dad at the moment due to renovations being done tot he place and we are the only option right now. We really havn't been able to get ahold of his mom since then. Nicholas, my brother in law needs clothes. And because the mom doesn't want to get him a bus pass I am stuck homeschooling him for the next 2 months, until we can move into the newly renovated basement of the dad's. Right now nicholas and his mom do not want his dad to be his guardian, so even while we are living under his roof, Nicholas is our responsiblility.

Now we are 19 year old parents of a 3 month old baby girl and nicholas is rather high maintence special needs. We also do not have a licence and take the bus. Today Nicholas was sick and while I was preparing a bottle for her in the kitchen. because the baby was crying he went up to her and clapped his hands in front of her face, because he felt like it. This scared my baby girl and made her cry more. I do not trust this child alone in the same room with my daughter for even a second. I already talked about my fears with my husband, he doesn't beleive he will hurt our daughter, but I really don't want to take the chance.

Right now Nicholas wants to continue going to a mormon church and boy scouts. Our family does not go to church and can't afford scouts. He his also extremely whinny and finds violence funny. If he doesn't get what he wants when he wants it, he starts getting extremely whinny and throws a very small tantrum. My husband works all day so I have to put up with hsi brother.

Im not exactly sure what his special needs are, I do know he has to take medication for them, which he hasn't taken since he left his moms. He is defiant and has anger issues. He also has a hard time learning in school. He's in grade 6 and can read at a grade 2 level.

Any advice on how to raise this child?

  • My 3 month old doesn't like being with daddy?

Everytime she go0es into his arms she starts crying like crazy until I hold her. She refuses to eat for him too. I know he's not abusing her, we live together. He loves his little girl and just wants her to love him too. How can she start liking daddy again? Has this happened to anyone before?

  • Did we do the right thing? Sick baby?

My husband got sick on Christmas with a horrid stomache flu. Yesterday he felt better and I was severely sick with it. He took our 3 month old daughter to see his family and after she got a fever his mom offered to take her for the night so me and him could recuperate. As much as I think this was a good idea (this is my first child and I really don't know what to do with a sick baby) I feel really bad that I'm not there with her. So is what we did ok or did she really need her parents?

  • Messy/ disoraganised/ controled chaos wives, who have neat freak husbands, how do you make it work?

How do you balance the super clean with mess? I need to know how! My husband and I are not getting along, even when I do clean...help? We have a 5 week old baby girl, and I'm on maternity leave for a year. He tells me, since I don't sleep when she sleeps that instead of watching t.v., that I should pull my weight so he doesn't have to clean up after me. I do admit that I make most of the mess, but he doesn't always pick up after himself either...I can't even remember the last time he did dishes. That job usually goes to me after I'm either A) Sick of seeing them B) He makes me feel guilty enough so I have to clean. His argument is he hardly eats so he doesn't produce enough dishes that he has to clean. SInce baby has been born, I barely eat and supper only gets made when I make it.

  • At what age do you let your baby soothe themselves?

I'm pretty sure its not until 6 months, but my fiancee is positive that we have to do it earlier or else she'll get spoiled and expect coddling everytime they cry.

  • HELP! My newborn just drank 8 ounces of milk in less than 4 hours and is still hungry?!?

What do I do? She is 3 weeks old and this is not her normal. I feed her every 3 hours and usually 2 ounces satisfies her for another 3 hours. But the last few days she's feeding every 2 hours and 4 ounces of milk per feeding. I'm breastfeeding, and I do pump but she's going through my supply like crazy! I do have formula in case of emergency...but I'm wondering if I need to call a doctor?! HELP!

  • Is this normal, 3 week old drinking LOTS of milk?

Ok, my 3 week week old daughter just drank 8 ounces of milk in less than 4 hours and is STILL hungry. She feeds every 3 hours usually, but the last 3 days she's been eating lots, and eating about every 2 hours. At least 3 ounces per feeding. Usually 2 ounces satisfies her for 3-4 hours. What do I do? Is this normal? Should I call the pediatrist? I have no clue.

I am breast feeding by the way. I have a pump but any milk I've have stored she's eaten.

  • Am I a bad mom? (20 characters)?

Last night I had barely any milk in my breasts, my nipples hurt so much from her sucking, so I caved in and gave my 3 week old formula. I should say right now, my daughter is used to bottles because I pump my breastmilk, she also has the breast. The last few days she's been eating more frequently and eating more, and I just don't have the milk supply at the moment. I've been drinking water, and pumping lots, but I can barely keep up with her.

So am I a bad mom for giving her formula?

  • Moms with cats? Does your kitty do this?

Become jealous and super cuddly? My daughter was born last week and my cat likes to come sit on my lap when I'm breastfeeding her or will lay down in between us. She also just like to snuggle onto my chest now. She's not attacking my daughter or anything and its not an issue, I'm just wondering if you cat does the same thing?
