Would it be cheaper for my high school to replace a meat dish with a vegan dish?

First of all, don't get me wrong, I do not want to get rid of all meat and dairy products in my high school cafeteria. I am merely writing a letter to try to get my cafeteria to provide a healthy daily lunch for vegans, because currently, no meals, at all, fit the needs of a vegan.

I have been doing research on reasons for them to add some vegan foods, and.I think the answer would be helpful, because if the cost was high, the chances of them adding the meals are slim, as my school doesn't have a very high budget.

On the other hand, I believe meat products are usually more expensive then vegetables, so they may be saving money with that change, and that would be a great reason to add to my letter if I had some reason behind it.
