Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I was just wanting your thoughts. This year has been financially great for me. I was laid off from a factory job in which I made out like a fat rat with money. I paid my credit cards, my score jumped 160 points, I paid off over 5000 dollars on my student loans, I only have 2.4k left which I'll be paying off quickly with my overtime, and i'm wanting to save money... yet I don't feel satisfied. I feel like i'm stuck to a routine and it's boring. Is all this money saving worth it? Is financial security an illusion? I feel like i'm sacrificing my health for the illusion of financial security. What are your thoughts?

I input my banking information in the IRS portal in april.

Hello, I've been out of college since 2015. I don't have a degree but I'm close to finishing one.  

I'm not even sure if I need a degree in terms of what my goals entail. 

Goals: I want a boring 9-5 job (no 2nd or 3rd shift) working in an office setting making a minimum of 15 an hour with perks and benefits.  

I used to work in sales at a call center.  I liked it but it didn't pay commission or over 11 an hour despite the fact that my customer service skills  were "the best they've ever heard" according to a supervisor.  My numbers are in the top 4 odd of the floor as well. 

If I could do sales I can and would,  but I'm open for other areas such as data entry, working with Microsoft office,  etc. I'm just wanting to ask you guys if I can expand my skillset for myself and my resume to be more open in what I'm wanting. 

I have a severance package coming within this month, a final paycheck with vacation time next week, and a paycheck with my regular work hours coming tomorrow. Will I still qualify for the 600 dollars and the 1200 in the state if indiana? The reason I ask is because my severance which il be getting in a lump sum would hurt my ability receiving benefits.

I have several questions.  Here's my current situation though. 

My work laid me as well as everyone off because of the covid 19 virus (3/28 was last day).  I got a call on Monday(3/30) that I was terminated because of a workforce reduction. On Sunday (3/31)I filed a claim for unemployment. Considering that I was terminated this week il get a my paycheck for my previous work week, the following week il get my final paycheck to cash out on my vacation time and I might get money for severance on that same day of my paycheck for vacation time (4/9) or the following week (4/16).

Sooo my questions are: 

1. Considering that I filed a claim (3/29)before I was terminated (3/30) and il be getting my final paycheck (4/9) along with my severance (on either 4/9 or 4/16) I should not file for my voucher on 4/5 because of the fact?

2. If the answer is yes then I should file another claim because of my vacation time paycheck (which wil be received on 4/9) on 4/16 because of the required one gap between filing a claim for unemployment for receiving vacation time? 

3. Does receiving severance pay have anything to do with unemployment? If it does should I file a claim for unemployment the week after i received it? (On 4/16 or 4/23[if I get severance on the 16th])? 

I hope this makes sense... so many dates.  Il be happy to clarify anything if you're confused.  Lol

. My dad told me that i needed the transcripts for the 2015 return to do the return for 2016, and if i don't have the transcripts, who do i talk to? My dad's girlfriend, who is no longer in the picture, did my taxes. I'm nit sure fire she filed then, but i did get my return

In the process of finding and purchasing my first car. What do you think would be a good car for be to buy for around 2-3 k on Craiglist? I want something with good gas mileage, something I went die in if I were to get on an accident, and something that I won't have to total on a small fender bender.

Just asking since my long term goal is to open up my own small business ( a bar).

The reason I ask is because I don't want to be considered overqualified for a position. If I drop the advanced makeup class in cosmetology school then I'll just be taking a basic makeup course. Do you think I should do this? Do you think I'll be considered overqualified just because I dropped a simple advanced makeup course at the cosmetology school that I'll be attending soon?

I have a ps3 but I can also play ps1 games on it as well.

Hello you guys. I'm not sure if this is the type of place to ask this type of question, but I'm just gonna ask it anyways since a lot of you guys are awesome and enjoy giving advice so here it is. First and foremost, I am a 19 year old guy who doesn't know what he wants to do in life career wise. I've thought of literally everything in the book as to what I want to do as a career and nothing really sounds that appealing to me. However, I have two possible career choices in mind that will possibly help in what I like to do as a hobby: cosmetology since I am a drag queen, and bartending since I like communicating with people, plus I could make good money in tips. The other catch is that I live in Phoenix; I hate Phoenix and I want to get out. I dream of living in a city like NYC, however, I am afraid that if I choose either of the two possible career choices (bartending, being a cosmetologist) I won't be able to make it in NYC. I don't care if I live directly in the city (which would be cool), I could just live in Jersey City, which is cheaper, so I could commute to NYC for my job and drag. I am leaning more towards the bartending aspect of the career choice since I can make connections in the drag world that way, plus I'd be making good tips (hopefully) and friends possibly. The dark side about being a bartending is that I'd be working during the night which is when most drag shows are, but if I were to be a cosmetologist I could work during the day and hopefully make good...

I know it sounds weird, but for example, a girl hates seeing two guys fight. One of the guy is her bf, and the other is an enemy. She's scared of it. However, if she is h o r n y, she gets an adrenaline rush from it. What is this called, psychologically speaking?

Okay, so I was with a group of friends (who were part of the cast of the play that I was just in) and we went over to the costume designers house to chill out.. So anyways, I thought it would be a cool idea to buy pizza and I asked what pizza they wanted - they wanted cheese pizza from dominos (disgusting). So I called up, and mind you, I never have been at this person's house before. I don't know where it is so I wanted some piece and quiet so I could talk to the pizza guy on the phone, but everyone was talking very loud when I was on the phone to give the order, to give them my number on my debit card (because I was paying with debit) and where they pizza would be going to. They continued on talking very loud so I eventually told everyone "Shut up!" and they all were quiet for a second then I told them to shut up again for the second time. The pizza guy hung up on me because I was so loud so I called back a second time, frustrated as hell at this point and I got a little bitchy with the pizza guy saying "You hung up on me" in a pissed off way. Then I got everything all taken cared of. I hung up, and everyone was like "You were rude to the guy. I felt bad for him" and another person was like "If you were my employee, I would fire you". So basically I felt as if I was scolded at for a bs reason. Was I in the right or was they in the right? After that, some of them behind my backw ere calling me an ahole.
