I've had a lot of trouble finding a good book to read lately. I hate love triangles, which I can't seem to escape. I despise the generic love stories with no plot. I loathe the main character who is absolutely perfect with no faults. I just want to read a book that had a story that makes sense with no huge plot holes. If the story has romance, I'd rather that was an extra. For example, I want to read about Jane or Jack who has some kind of problem to solve and maybe has some kind of thing going on with another character that makes sense and doesn't hinder the plot. I do not want to read about Jane or Jack who fell in love with some random character and by the way have to save the world from something, but let's their insta-love relationship get in the way of that. Are there any books like this? I don't even care if they're not YA. I just want a well written book that makes sense, and isn't a blatant rip off of some other franchise. Thanks for answering!

There is a strange difference from when I sing lower notes to higher notes. So, I sing a low note and it sounds louder than the higher notes I sing. Like, to sing higher notes I have to the back of my throat instead of from my chest, if that makes sense. Am I singing correctly? Thanks!

My mom, sister and I are going to be gone for three weeks right after father's day, so we want to do something nice for him, and I was thinking I'd make a cake. Also, it's be nice if it were a bit healthy because he's really wanting to be careful about his health and I think that feeding him a pile of sugar and fat would make him unhappy. So, do you know of a cake that is relatively healthy, not too sweet because he not only is trying to be healthy but just doesn't like overly sweet things either, haha. Sorry I'm being picky but I want him to feel appreciated since he's going to be by himself for a long time.

I actually like the TV series, which is saying something since I tend to find most shows on TV stupid/illogical/Irritating/ or too rushed within the first few episodes. I just don't like TV, so was surprised when my sister managed to get me to watch it with her and I stayed, lol. So, because I usually spend my time reading, should I read the book? I don't mind any of the taboo topics and stuff that goes on in them, in fact, my only problem with the series is that there are so many characters I can't keep track. I no idea whose name is what because they're hardly ever mentioned. Like the white haired girl? Or the little boy who was pushed out of the window? No idea what their names are. Is this problem fixed in the books? Because if their names are not mentioned, I will have a hard time keeping track.

So, I've been trying to get my dad to watch anime. Problem is that he thinks all anime is Japanese cartoon porn. I've finally proven him wrong and he lets me read manga/watch anime, but now I want him to watch one with me. He's willing to do so, but now that I think about it, I don't have one in mind that wouldn't be awkward to watch that he would actually like. Here's the rules I had in mind:

1. No Gore. He doesn't like over the top gore unless its necessary, like in a Lord of the Rings fight scene.

2. No Sexual stuff. I can't even describe how awkward it would be to watch an anime with bouncing boobs or 5 second long pantie shots. Not only would that make us feel uncomfortable, it would also make him not against anime again.

- This includes dirty jokes.

3. Preferably not a romance. It's fine if it's an action anime that has romance in it, but nothing where romance is the main thing.

Sorry I'm so picky, but I'm trying to make him like anime, and he's weird about what he watches. If it helps, he loves Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Harry Potter, and Lord of the Rings. Also, he's an engineer and loves math and things that will make him think.

Men- Men have a hard time with the pressure to be 'manly'. People put pressure on them to be strong and confident, to fit this image of the 'perfect' guy. If they look 'funny' they will be called a creep or a pervert. God forbid if they walk by a park full of children on their own, they'll probably be called a pedophile. They can't touch a woman but a woman can slap them. People also have this thing that men can't be sexually harassed. They can, and it does happen, but they don't talk about it because people usually tell them they need to 'man-up' and get over it.

Women- Women, of course, have to deal with bleeding every month. I've thrown up because it hurt so much and makes me feels so sick. Women are also seen as objects. I remember when I was in middle school and there was this guy who wouldn't shut up about my chest during lunch (my chest is embarrassingly large). Every day he would have constant comments. One day, I lost it and threw a half eaten peach at him. Everyone looked at me like I was some kind of pmsing bi*ch. Like I was the crazy girl who lashed out. Which is another thing girls have to deal with. If they get angry, it's because they're a crazy girl. If they cry, it's because they're a girl. If they fail at anything, it's because they're a girl. Also, I've had to deal with my own grandfather telling me that women are only for making children and cleaning up the house.

Both genders have a hard time, but who has it worse? Does gender even matter?

I've been using simple crayola pencils and they're not really made for what I'm looking for. I find they're a bit too...scratchy may be the word I'm looking for. I tried using pencils that were softer, but they were too soft and kept snapping. The kind of result I want when I draw is similar to the links. The artist says she uses omni pencils...but I have no idea what that means. I can't really find much about 'omni pencils' on the internet. I want a pencil soft enough to mix and shade like this, but not so soft it will snap like a twig. (I have to admit, I have played piano for a very, very long time so maybe my hands are just strong and I could color more lightly?)

My largest problem is that the soft pencils leave a lot of little white specks when I color, making me have to color over them and fill them in, which makes them snap. All pencils do this, but the soft pencils are just...very difficult.

It would also help alot if the brand had specific colors like, aqua blue and maroon and peach and lime green. I can't seem to find a brand that has these kinds of colors instead of offering green and dark green. I like lots of different greens, if that makes sense. I've worked really hard to earn some money so I could get some ice pencils, so It would be nice if it were $50 or under.

I have to think of a job I may want when I'm older for school assignment. I want to take this seriously because I have two older sisters who have gone through college and I know how important (or helpful) it is to know what you'll major in before you go to college. After lots of consideration I think that I want to do something that has to do with stars. I've always been facinated with stars, nebula, and the way things work in outer space. So I was thinking, since I'm pretty good at math and that stars are a big interest to me, what kind of job would have to do with stars? Also, exactly what skills would you need to do these jobs? And what exactly are you doing during these jobs? Thanks for answering!

It seems like a stupid question, but hear me out. What makes us human? If an Alien came to earth, made of the exact same stuff we were, and looking just like us with small differences like flatter noses or literally black irises, would they be human? Would they simply be a new race or would they be an alien? I’m honestly curious. Thanks for answering.

I worked hard to earn money to get a new gaming system, and I'm not sure which one I should get. I really love the Zelda games and would hate to not be able to play then anymore, but my dad seems to want to get something with better graphics. I don't know if the Wii U has better graphics ot not. Basically, I don't know if it's worth it to get the Wii U. What do you think?

I don't mind helping him buy the groceries. What I do mind, is going every week and getting weird stares. I look older than I really am, so people often tell me they think I'm 18. I'm not allowed to wear make up and my mom''s really picky and careful (which I can understand and don't mind) about me wearing things that look too adult and stuff. But even with this, people look at me like I'm his young wife or something. It doesn't help we go every week. He's always insisting to go take pictures downtown and get out of the house (I go to school online) so I can understand. It's just that I don't see people my age walking with their dads. I see boyfriends, moms, friends, but not dads that much. People look at me like I'm dating some old guy. It's uncomfortable. Do you think I'm being paranoid or that people really think this? If so, should I honestly care?

I really want to get a new video game and a game console to go with it, but I don't want my parents to buy it for me. First, I know they never would and second, I don't like them buying things for me because we're not the richest people on earth. I want to earn money without them giving it to me. So I can't do chores around the house because in the end it's their money. I can sell some old toys and some art, but I don't think that would get me too far. I want to earn about $500 and the game comes out next year, so I have plenty of time. Is there something you think I can do? Do you think a library would hire a kid?

I take a shower and wash my hair properly, but have no idea why it doesn't smell good. It Smells like...well, wet hair! I use products and they don't seem to make the smell go away, just mix with it. I have curly hair, so I have to comb my hair while it's wet and I think this might be part of the problem. Is there a product you would recommend that will condition my hair and make it smell good all day? Thank you!

I play the piano, and was recently accepted to play in a big recital that may be televised. The only problem is that I have the worst stage fright issues. My legs literally vibrate, along with my hands, which as you can guess is not good for piano playing. I get really cold and really nervous. I don't forget my piece, but I find it unable to focus on it. The worse thing is that it doesn't matter if it's one person or fifty. I even get nervous to play around my family and teacher sometimes. It's becoming ridiculous and a big handicap. I want to become a better player, but it's not fun if I can't preform for people. I used to be the same about singing in front of others, but one day it just went away. I had no idea how it happened, or what I did to get rid of it, but I cant wait around for the piano stage fright to randomly disappear. How can I work to lose the stage fright without taking medication?
