Does HMS get a percentage?
From what I understand Stewart/Hass racing is using HMS engines, cars (chassis), and who knows what else. Does this mean that HMS gets a percentage of their winnings? If so then shouldn't Tony and teammate be considered part of the HMS team? Isn't there a limit to the number of cars per team and is this a way around the rule?
5 AntwortenNASCARvor 1 JahrzehntWhat legal rights are there?
For same-sex couples that live in a state that allows same-sex marriage what legal rights are they gaining by marrying? The Federal government does not recognize same-sex marriages so the only rights would be State rights, correct? Even if they get married legally in their State they cannot apply jointly on a Federal Tax form, right? They can't apply for social security together, or get survivor benefits, right?
So what is gained legally, not socially but legally, by getting married?
What about places like DC that will now recognize same-sex marriages from other states. What is gained legally?

I am curious about what rights are same-sex couples still missing even if their state allows them to marry. Same-sex couples still can't file for social security benefits or survivor benefits based on being married, right? They can't file federal income tax returns, right? The Census still won't count them as married. So what benefits/rights do same-sex couple really get by their state allowing them to marry?
8 AntwortenLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgendervor 1 JahrzehntWhat is your opinion about the Lymes Vaccine?
I am not a fan of new vaccines, usually there hasn't been enough testing and limited history so when the Lyme vaccine first came out I did not want the vet to give it to our dogs. I did some reading a few years ago and some people were saying the vaccine could be dangerous because it is in a cocktail, which had not been tested. What was tested was the individual components separately, but not together in a cocktail.
It has been some years now and I haven't heard much about the vaccines - good or bad. Are they safe, has there been any reported problems? I am doing a web search on this, but thought I would also ask in here about it.
Thank you
8 AntwortenDogsvor 1 JahrzehntCheck Engine Light what does this code mean?
I have a 2003 Toyota Tundra and the check engine light code says there is an evaporation problem (or something like that I couldn't fully understand the mechanic super). They said they tested the system and said the filler stem to the gas tank, just under the filler cap is rusted and is allowing fumes to escape.
Does this even sound possible or correct? I am going to the garage tomorrow and have the mechanic show me what they are talking about. Is the fuel system a closed air tight system?
Thanks
5 AntwortenMaintenance & Repairsvor 1 JahrzehntHas anyone had vertigo and then flew on plane?
I had really bad vertigo last year, I mean room spinning and unable to walk type of vertigo. It eased up a bit, but it was a couple of months before I could sleep on my side, anytime I turned my head things would spin. I went for testing and the best they could tell was that I had a viral infection. After I went to my chiropractor it got about 90% better, so the rest must have been the infection.
Anyway, the vertigo is gone now, but I have not been on a plane since I got it and I am flying this weekend and was wondering if the change of air pressure might trigger the vertigo. I know it always makes my ears pop, but will it do worse?
Anyone with vertigo have problems on a plane? Since I already take motion sickness medicine do you think that will counter any symptoms of vertigo?

2 AntwortenAir Travelvor 1 JahrzehntDo you give to the Salvation Army?
Some years ago it was made public how the SA discriminates against homosexuals, both in their hiring practices and who they assist. It appears they have not gotten any better, and there is talk about stuffing the kettles with fake money. I don't think fake money is good, but some sort of statement should be made.
What are you doing to do to show your displeasure at the SA? BTW, since they accept government money they should not be allowed to discriminate?
