I know DSLRs can take up to a estimate number of photos before the camera's shutter needs to be replaced and i was wondering how many photos can a M4/3 camera take before its shutter needs to be serviced?

To be specific:

How many photos can the Panasonic LUMIX DMC-GF1 take before the shutter needs to be replaced?

I'm thinking about buying a camera from digital rev.com and I wanted to know if it's safe, fast, and legit. I've tried amazon, adorama, B&H, and others but they didn't have they camera I wanted in stock. So if anyone has purchased anything from this site it would be great if you could provide your feedback. US residents preferred but all is welcomed.

I want YOUR opinion if you've had any experience with these sites. Like any problems you've had with any of the two sites I would greatly appreciate to hear.

BUT the most important thing i care about is probably if the products are LEGIT and AS NEW AS POSSIBLE (like no scratches or dents or any imperfections)

it seems to me that digital rev.com has awesome deals but the thing that worries me is that is is shipped overseas rather than compared to B&H where it's already in the states.

SO WHICH DO U THINK IS BETTER OVERALL?

I am noticing a big difference between one of my earlier photos and one of the most recent ones. The color saturation is now very faded and less bright than the photos used to be a few years ago. Now it looks almost black and white. Does this mean that the sensor or whatever that's in charge of color capture getting worn out?

I'm planning to buy a filter JUST TO PROTECT my lens

i don't want it to do anything to the picture (polarizing, UV filter, night to day, etc) none of that

just a filter to protect the front element

I can't decide between the Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L and the Canon EF 24-105MM f/4L. Can someone help?

I usually shoot in situations that have good lighting but there are some IMPORTANT events now and then that don't have a lot of light to shoot with.

I also care about sharpness (the sharper the better), also about how shallow the depth of field is (the shallower the better). And i need a decent zoom range to capture all the things I need.

So, is that extra f stop and shorter focal length in the EF 24-70mm f/2.8L really worth that extra $250?

I've heard that this is a fantastic lenses that produces super sharp images, good bokeh, and has a very robust feel to it. I want to hear from actual owners of this lens how their experience with this lens was so i can decide whether to buy it or not.

I've heard some people say that the image stabilizer in Canon lenses reduce image quality and heard other people say the exact opposite. What do you think?

i'm trying to decide between the Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM lens and the Canon EF 24-70mm USM lens. Which lens is a better performer overall? What key features does one have and the other doesn't?

I've always been skeptical about buying new products due to the possibility of them having problems. I know computer firmware updates fix the problems, but what about DSLR cameras? Can firmware updates fix the problems that might with come with new DSLR cameras?
