I'm a senior in high school set to graduate in May. I've been in honors classes since middle school and only took the ACT one time, but I made a 27 on it.I'm looking to go to the University of South Alabama (long story short I'm ready to go back home) to try to get a degree in electrical engineering. I don't know as much about it as I would like, but it seems to be an exciting field that falls within my academic strengths. I will have Calculus 1 and physics done by the end of the year, but I never got the chance to take so much as a Shop class.I would appreciate any pointers as to the kind of things I need to study up on in my spare time to be better prepared for college; I am extremely competitive and hate to look a fool in front of anybody, especially around some pretentious rich kids. If at all possible, I'd like to just use materials on the internet, as even working full-time after school yields few results when you earn minimum wage and your parents aren't doing a whole lot better. I tried looking it up on google but I can't find it anywhere. The chorus sounds like he's saying "Dont call me lewd (or nude/rude/crude, I could never really tell) little girl, you're the one who's got me doen on my knees" etc. I always catch it at the end or I'll only be half-listening, but I like it.

I'm not exactly a car guy but I believe something may be wrong with my transmission...it's an automatic. Whenever I shift from park there's a clanking noise that sometimes jolts the entire truck. Also, when I get on the highway it takes me forever to get up to speed (55). It seems to get stuck at 25 even when hold the gas pedal to the floor until it eventually shifts, gets stuck at about 35 for a moment, then overdrive will kick in and it'll do 55. I checked the transmission fluid and it seems fine. I'm only 17 though and can't afford a mechanic so I'm hoping for something I can fix myself

Lat night i was about to go to bed, so i went to plug in my phone to charge like i always do. I have one of them verizon phones where the bottom turns from like some mp3 controls to a keyboard. anyway, when i plugged it in to charge, it went into service mode and wouldnt charge, and i had to power cycle my phone to use it. Why is it doing this? And, more importantly, how do I fix it?

For informational purposes only, what would be a good recipe for fermenting something that tastes like bourbon? I understand the process of distilling, but they're less specific when it comes to mash recipes.

It sounds like something is dragging when I drive and it really is aggravating. My muffler is a little loose, and somebody suggested that maybe I have like a loose break pad, but I don't know. It's been doing this since I hit a speed bump going a little fast. For a day it so it only made the noise when I was not accelerating or braking, but it does it constantly and it's really annoying. I have an '01 Chevy Blazer if that matters. And there is nothing dragging that's the first thimg I checked.

My dad's a SK in the USCG and he really has a sham job. But he says the YN rate is even more ridiculous than his. So, obviously, I was considering this as a career choice. But I was wondering what the difference was between a Coast Guard YN and a Navy YN, because I kind of wanted to join the Navy,because my step-dad spoke so highly of it (my dad was in the Army before he joined the USCG,so he doesn't think too highly of the Navy) but I wasn't sure. Any light to shed or opinions to be shared?

I'm a freshman at a high school in Mobile, Alabama, and I've gotten addicted to chew. Smoking never really did anything for me, but I love chew. It tastes very similar to raisins and has a nice... well anyway, I tend to go overboard and chew usually 8-10,pinches at school,with 2-4 being chewed at lunch. As you can imagine, this always leaves me feeling very shitty. I don't really want to quit, but maybe some tricks to help me limit my chew intake would be great. And no, I can't just use my willpower, it's shaky at best...
