18.5 single cyl Briggs riding mower dies after 15 minutes?
I have done the following:
new gas
new plug
new coil
clean filter and screen
The lawn mower will run for 15 minutes and die. Wait 15 and it will run.
Is this problem related to the fuel solenoid mounted on the bowl part number 699915? What is the function of the part? I read that the solenoid when deactivated plunges up and pushes the float upwards killing the gas . It is supposed to kill the flow of gas when the mower is shut down preventing a fire in case of a backfire? When I unplug the solenoid the mower will not crank. I plug it in and the mower will crank and run fine for 15 minutes then it will conk out.
Is it possible that the fuel solenoid gets hot and fails releasing the spring loaded pin upwards and killing the flow of gas to the mower? What would happen If I removed the solenoid and cut the plunger out and then reinstalled the solenoid defeating the safety?
Would that fix my problem? Does anyone know?
I do not expect to get an answer. My questions are stumpers. LOL

Alton Brown did did a very nice piece on how to make a wassail. However a wassail has wine, honey, water, citrus, cinnamon, and cloves. A Syllabub has a cider or wine, sugar, citrus, and milk, along with beaten egg whites and such. Did he do enough research?

Hotshot is supposed to be an environment friendly replacement gas.
Supposedly it works for all types of equipment. recently I asked how much a jug of R22 was from my supplier. WOW $200 bucks. Hot shot was not much more than that a few years back. What is in hot shot? Has the price went down? Does anyone know if MP44 is hotshot? I personally do not think anyone with the product knowledge will reply but any answer is welcome. The kind of questions I ask just do not get answered for some reason.

It is like it is out of gas but it is not. Where is the fuel pump? How about fuse for fuel or fuel shut off. People I am good at some things but not these newer cars.

This tobradex was origannaly pescribed for eye infection for my dad. He passed. I found this little bottle of tobradex in the medicine cabinet. Can I put a drop or 2 in the kittys eyes? They have that eye thing where they have a lot of mucus and their eyes are closing. I do not have any money.

I am 56 years old and I have never eaten any pine nuts, artichoke,or squid. I have a feeling I have not missed much. Can someone enlighten me? I doubt if any southerners have eaten this mess.
