A few weeks ago, while teaching in China,( I teach 1-4 grade science) I had to preform CPR on an adult who stopped breathing and heart had stopped. Since I was reluctant to preform, I checked the pulse twice and then did 15 compressions. I then found the pulse and the breathing had returned. This just struck me as "too easy"....so either the first 15 compressions were enough or somehow missed the pulse even though I double checked. ( The person was a little chubby, so even finding a pulse on the carotid wasn't easy.)

I will be teaching a class to Chinese nationals, and I want to show how English in America is changing due to the Latino influence....anybody got any examplles besides "bodega" and "nada"

I am a teacher at a private school in Beijing.

Our school currently has no good way of assessing the profeciency of our students English level. Our current method is to have students read a paragraph or two from various grade text books and base their grade level on their ability to read and understand the vocabulary. There has to be a better way.

Since the GOP's candidate is now a moderate Republican, does this mean that the Tea Party does not have the strength it had only two years ago. Why is the Tea Party allowing a RINO to represent the GOP ?

Now that the Tea Party is going after moderate GOP senators like Lugar, does that mean they now must find a home in another party. ( and is it likely that party will be the Democratic Party ?)

Since Romney has eaten escargot, he has eaten an unusal food also.....so what's the difference...and more importantly, why should we care ?

It does look like Romney is going to have to reassure conservatives that he is "one of them" . (Such as Ann Coulter's comment to Romney "You better be as conservative as I say you are" would suggest. ) Is he, like McCain before him, stuck selecting a social conservative. We all know that Sarah was more of a problem than a blessing to John McCain.

So how much wood would a woodchuck chuck chuck, if a woodchuck could chuck wood ? Does he need to work for a wage or be paid by the piece ?

Instead of trying to hit a high speed object, why not detonate a nuke in the pathway of the incoming nukes and let the explosion and shockwave destroy the incoming nukes.

I know this is a theory, but why wouldn't it work ?

Since Romney is a "vulture capitalist", it would seem more appropriate. Vulture capitalism is at the heart of Republican philosophy.

BTW: He is paid minimum wage.

Since many conservatives use this term almost as a teenager uses a swear word, it seems to no longer have the impact it may have once had. Like the boy who cried wolf, do you think it's overuse may backfire on you ?

This is not meant as a slight to Ron Paul supporters, but pointing out the obvious...Ron Paul is the only remaining (serious) candidate that has any chance against Mitt Romney....and does that mean he will get support from other "anti-Romney" players ?

As a liberal, I recognize that conservatives have some valid concerns with our society; but it is hard to respect them when they talk about Obama not being an American or that he is a closet Muslim. Do you think this sideshow is doing you any good ?

Is our society fair to those who work to keep it functioning ?

The social contract between the Upper class and everybody else is that they can keep their tax cuts if they provide jobs. So where are the jobs ?

Bush's tax cuts largely benefited the upper income bracket, but cut services for the middle class and the working poor. It did little to nothing to create employment. Are Republicans hypocritical in refering to class warfare when the middle and working poor fight back ?

If in the end, the public decides to re-elect Obama, what will you do ?

Let's say (in theory) Romney taps Condeliza Rice , John Huntsman, Orin Hatch or even John McCain as a vice president, would you still be willing to vote for him ? (Yes, this might take some creative thinking, since this isn't likely to happen.)
