Constantly wanting to be with someone?
I have a boyfriend, and I love him. We have been together for almost a year, and I can't ask for anyone better. I was recently introduced to someone else, and I find him very interesting. I don't feel sexually attracted to him, but I constantly crave his company. I want to spend a ton of time with this guy. Which makes me very confused for obvious reasons. Can you become infatuated with someone intellectually? Has anyone else experienced this?

3 AntwortenBooks & Authorsvor 10 JahrenAnorexic living with an obese roommate?
I've struggled with anorexia for about 2 years now. I've been hospitalized once, but have relapsed since. I understand that I need to expose myself to my fears, but the last thing I expected to happen when I went to college was to constantly be surrounded by food. My roommate is obese, and talks about her weight and the food she eats constantly. Obviously, my anxiety is absolutely through the roof about it. In fact, I'm sure her anxiety about living with someone who is underweight is also extremely high. I don't keep food in the fridge and she's never seen me eat. She eats entire pizzas or 15 tacos in one sitting. Going into my room is like going into a war zone for me (and I would assume it is for her, too).
My question is....is it healthy if we continue being roommates next semester? Obviously, I would like to change and remove myself from food, but is it better that I stay around food? Or is her constant body-talk more damaging? I'm just confused.
I would also like to make it very clear that she ALSO has a problem, and I completely understand that it is extremely difficult for her too.

2 AntwortenDiet & Fitnessvor 10 JahrenHelp I'm depressed again?
For four years of my life I was really depressed. I skipped a year somewhere in there, where I was completely happy and fine. Just the last year I was depressed, I hit my all time low and tried to commit suicide. I changed medications, and I got better unusually quickly. I mean it was only like three months and somehow I was just miraculously better. I've been absolutely fine for a year. No problems at all. Now, just yesterday, I felt depressed. It was my birthday and I figured I was just a bit disappointed and in a funk. But now I'm seriously depressed today.
Am I going back into an episode? I'm away at school but should I go see a doctor? Have any of you had this come and go depression where it literally disappears in one second and comes back out of no where? IS THIS REALLY HAPPENING AGAIN?!
4 AntwortenMental Healthvor 10 JahrenSteps to a healthier lifestyle?
I know maintaining a healthy lifestyle can't be done over night. It takes some time to develop good habits. What are some steps I can start taking right now to get healthier? I'm looking for suggestions for little things (like taking the stairs instead of the elevator) I can start doing now.
2 AntwortenDiet & Fitnessvor 10 JahrenWhich sister college for creative writing?
I'm looking at creative writing programs, and I'm very interested in the Sister Colleges. Does anyone know between Bryn Mawr, Smith, Mount Holyoke, and Wellesley, who has the best creative writing or English program? Now, I know not all colleges offer a specific creative writing major, so how about English Department in general?
2 AntwortenHigher Education (University +)vor 10 JahrenUndergraduate Creative Writing Programs?
I'm looking for some of the best undergraduate creative writing programs. I am already well aware of the University of Iowa, and as wonderful as the program is, I'm not exactly looking for that environment. I want a small school with a "small program" (meaning it will be more workshop focused), a tree-filled campus, and one which is highly selective (not most selective). The part of the country does not matter, although I have a slight aversion to the southern states. I know that these are very specific requirements, but to excel at writing, you need to know exactly the type of environment you will grow in.
Oh, and I am a transfer student. My high school stats are 3.5 unweighted GPA with a 33 ACT, and my college GPA is a 4.0 with honors and 200 level courses.
Any help is very much appreciated.

4 AntwortenBooks & Authorsvor 10 JahrenSkinny vs. Curvy vs. Thick vs. Fat?
My friend and I are having a debate on this. To me:
Skinny: Close to underweight, but still in a healthy weight range. Just healthily thin.
Curvy: More of a shape factor. NOT overweight, but classic hourglass figure.
Thick: Large boobs, butt, and thighs, and not a necessarily thin waist, but still tight and muscle-y.
Fat: Anyone that is overweight. (and not necessarily by BMI standards. just unhealthy).
What do you guys think?
5 AntwortenDiet & Fitnessvor 10 JahrenBest college acting programs?
Hey guys, I'm sorry I've asked this question before, but I'm just not getting the answers (or any, for that matter) I'm looking for. Right now I go to a great college in the Midwest, but the theatre program is just so-so and there aren't many opportunities. I'm looking to transfer next semester...next fall at the latest. Currently I have a 4.0 GPA and I had a 33 on my ACT from high school.
I want a well rounded acting program (more of a traditional school than a conservatory) that will teach me skills to break into film. Strong screenwriting programs are also a plus. Tuition isn't a major factor for me, and location (say L.A. vs. NYC) is up for grabs...as long as it will have the best opportunities possible. Thanks!
