I'm starting a new club this year at the high school where I teach. The club will create Dateline-esque feature stories about not only our school but also on world news and goofy news stories we find as well. Since it's a new club, I need a good name that will accurately represent the group's purpose but that will also be catchy enough to attract new students to the club.

Our high school mascot is the Bulldog, if that helps.

On the Olympic coverage, they have mentioned several times that the Downhill and Super G events were run on the same hill. So what is the difference between these events?

In light of the death of a Georgian luger, the Olympic luge course has been shortened. According to the NBC announcers, it's been shortened by the length of 2 football fields. I recognize the need for that for safety reasons, but that opens up several questions for me:

1. Is there a standard length?

2. Won't shortening the course artificially inflate times? In other words, won't everybody be breaking the world record time if the course is shorter?

I'm teaching The Killer Angels to a high school Leadership Development class, and my students are confused (and so am I at times) over who reports to whom, etc. in the Battle of Gettysburg. If anyone knows where I can find a chart of the Generals and the important officers who report to them, I'd appreciate it, as would my students.

All of a sudden, my e-mail inbox has become inundated with Cyber Monday deals, but I had never heard of the term before. Why is it called this? (Is it because it's mostly technology deals on sale, or are they online deals only?) And when did this term originate?

I was reading online lesson plans for the novel Of Mice and Men, and I encountered one that analyzes the circular plot of the novel. However, it did not provide a definition of circular plot, and the definition wasn't easily discernible from the lesson plan, either.

So what is circular plot, and is this a plot device that is useful for students to analyze?

I heard the SportsCenter anchors mention that they're broadcasting from Los Angeles. If I remember correctly, the show used to be filmed on the east coast. So I'm wondering if the move is permanent, or if this is a traveling bit like some talk shows and game shows do from time to time.

On another user's Yahoo Answers profile, I saw that her best answer percentage was -6%. How is this possible? I understand how points can be subtracted (i.e., deleting an answer or asking a question), but that subtraction should come from one's points total. I'm unclear how a point subtraction can make a best answer percentage dip below zero.
