I dreamt last night that i was at the desk where i write my books. But i couldn't start typing because there was a wolf pushing me away. it was an ugly, snake-like wolf and it was scratching at me. what does it mean?

do you believe in the beautiful fantasy that is told in stories or books? i would love to but, logic has me tied. I always think about a wonderful place with those creatures, fairies and centaurs and unicorns. but then, it only seems like a beautiful dream that i will never encounter. if only it were real! (she said scornfully.)

Colors dance around me. Swirling like magic; being carried up on wings like eagles. I run in the hills, my hair wildly swaying in the wind. The sun is warm and i feel the most wonderful freedom...then I wake up.

I sigh, but that won’t help. Dreams are better than reality. You can make them your own. If I could go one place, it would be in my mind. My imagination. I could live there forever and never grow weary. Not life. Not my life. Everything is a routine. Nothing seems extraordinary or bizarre. Get up. Get dressed. Go to school. Come home. Eat. Go to bed. Some days people throw in a shower for a twist. Does that really make life exciting?

Dragons, unicorns, fairies, mermaids, phoenix, elves, dwarves, nymphs, orcs, magic, wizards, griffins- if only they were real. Running from some of them would be a thrill. That sort of good danger. The kind that makes your adrenaline pump. Your heart beats faster and faster. You feel like you going to not make it but then the world hands you a sword. You fight and fight. A grin creeping up your face and you smile. Because life is yours to live. Not my life. Its just a daily routine. Maybe one day. I will get my wish. To be free from this world. To meet another one. One with things that I love and imagine and dream about. Then maybe I would be truly happy.

The only thing stopping me is everything.

People say to me, “Wow. Avelynn. you are too lucky. You got this great big house, money, how could you ever be ungrateful?” Do we all judge on money and riches in this world? Do we judge on fortunes? Why? I wish we would judge on aspects and the imagination of ideas. But no. Why is it when I say looks are fantastic, everyone agrees. But when I say fairytales are wonderful, I get laughed at?

Still, I would rather live in my fairytale world.
