Crocomophobe

I grew up with dogs, both female and male and have had my own dogs for the 28 years of my life. The last dog I had passed away at 14 years of age and for 4 years I refused to get a new dog. Instead I took care of my boyfriend's parent's Cocker spaniel. She actually listens more to me than them. A months ago I heard about a little 3 y.o. Cavalier than needed a new home. I went to see him and that same day we became best friends. Since then he has been living with me. At first everything was ok, he was nice to other dogs, he was curious etc etc. But now he barks at all kinds of dogs, big small, female, male and at bicycles! The more we go out and meet dogs (I live in a neighborhood with loads of dogs!) the more aggressive he seems to become. I have never used words with dogs, except for commands otherwise I use sounds. It's a childhood thing I guess. But they have stopped working. When he is barking, nothing, NOTHING can stop him. He is like focused on the dog and charges! I am trying different things but I am no expert. My guess is that it has to do with his past life?! What should I do? What are you experiences?

J'ai commencé mon master (je suis dans une université en Europe autre qu'en France) et nous ne sommes qu'une vingtaine d'étudiants, Lorsqu'il faut former des groupes d'études et de discussions, dès le premier jour, personne n'a voulu se mettre avec moi. Le prof m'a forcé à me mettre avec deux filles qui, me semble-t-il, ne se connaissaient pas mais faisaient semblent d'être les meilleures copine du monde. Directe, elle m'ont pas permis de partager mes idées ou mes pensés. Lorsqu'il fallait écrire une texte on retirait ce que j'avais écris ou on le transformait complètement. Tout ceci, pendant un mois. Ensuite, nous avions un nouveau cours où, encore une fois il fallait se mettre en groupes changeants. Dans ce cours il n'y avait pas seulement les gens de mon master mais d'autres masters aussi. J'étais en groupe avec les autres sans problèmes, j'ai même trouvé de nouveaux amis. Mais me voici dans un nouveau cours avec seulement les personnes de mon master. Personne ne veux être en groupe avec moi. Le prof m'a dit qu'il fallait que je trouve un groupe toute seule comme une grande. Mais dès que je m'approche de quelqu'un, cette personne s'en va. Cette situation me donne bcp d'angoisse. Jamais je n'ai été traitée ainsi. Aujourd'hui je ne veux pas aller en cours. J'ai même écris une lettre afin de me retirer de l'université. J'ai mal d'estomac tout le temps, je me sens repoussée par les autres. Je ne sais même pas ce que j'ai fait. Que puis-je faire pour que quelqu'un m'aime bien?

Cela faisait un baille que je n'avais pas touché à ma PS3. En voulant jouer aujourd'hui à Dishonored, j'ai remarqué que toutes mes sauvegardes avaient disparues. Savez-vous pourquoi et s'il y a moyen de les retrouver?!

Hi! I just started going to the gym (day 2). So far it's been cardio+arms and chest as well as a zumba class. I am a bit lost as to how many days a week I should go to the gym and what to do there, but that's an other question.

My question is what the hell should I eat. With my current bf, we realized that I am not a fuzzy eater but I do hate candy and sugar. We do not know why I gain so much weight in the past year but I believe it is because I ate MORE. So I am determined to eat less. I have been looking around on the net to see ideas on how to plan meal and such but I keep stumbling upon food I should eat, not eat, days I should eat more, starve myself to 1300 calories etc etc etc.

For a newbie like myself, what do you recommend? Fo you who are losing or have lost weight, what do you eat?

I have always loved insects and I usually collect them and put them in resin but now I would like to take pictures of them. I normally use my phone to take pictures but obviously it is not going to take proper pictures of insects..Can anyone recommend any not too expensive camera good enough to take macro photos for an amateur insect lover such like myself?

Norton will not open. The internet is working but IE doesnt work and I do not have an other browser....i have windows 7

Hier j'étais en train de parler avec une filles qui, depuis 3 ans, apprend le français. Elle a un bon niveau de vocabulaire et de grammaire mais ne sait pas faire la différence ne "en" et "à". Par exemple on dit

-Je pars EN Italie à 3 heures.

mais

- Je vais à Paris à en octobre.

Il y a-t-il une règle de grammaire pour faire la distinction? Car pendant 30 mins j'ai essayé de lui faire comprendre la logique mais un règle c'est mieux!

My bf spends his sunday evenings in a sort of a pub with his collegues/mates. It's like a traditional thing they have been doing for years. From time to time I follow him and have a blast. Today we went there and out of nowhere this blond girl comes and gives him a hug. It wasn't a normal hug it was more like she was rubbing herself on him...he then introduces me and she goes like " oh i know her,how are u darling"...i never met her in my life but i keep my cool. Later she comes back for a second 'hug' and he follows her around. I cannot keep my eyes away from them. Even one of my bf's mate thought it was weird. On our way home i told me i felt threatened but that it was ok as long as dhe was just a friend or smth. He then says " haha of course she is. All of the girls in the pub are like her. I only hang with dirty blonds". I was schocked and asked him not to speak to me because i needed to digest the info. He is now super upset with me.

Whatbwould be ur reaction?

This might seem like a weird question but here it comes. My dad used to record his computer on cassets, connecting the computer with 3 cables, red, yellow and i think white. The red and white cable would go directly from the PC to the VHS and the yellow cable will go on a little box that might be some type of converter, which was then connected to the computer with 2 "fat" cabled, one red and one blue. Now the thing is I bought my father a new computer two weeks ago and I realized he it didn't have the same outputs/inputs that his old computer had and so I was wandering if it was still possible to connect the VHS to his PC and record the stuff he wants. I guess maybe out there I could find some kind of adapter for the cables, an adapter with USB on the end... My dad is old and it's his hobby...I am planning on buying him a recordable DVD player to have instead but until then can someone answer my question? Thank you!

Voilà, je suis avec un homme depuis un an et demi. J'ai su très vite qu'il avait une fille qu'il avait eu avec une autre femme (russe) avec qui il avait une relation d'à peu près 10 ans (ils ont rompus et se sont raccommodés plusieurs fois). J'ai rencontré mon copain alors que tous les deux venions de sortir d'une relation; la sienne longue, la mienne atrocement bizarre. Nous ne cherchions personne mais nous avons eu le coup de foudre et malgré notre chagrin nous nous sommes mis ensemble et depuis, tous les jours sont des jours heureux.

Mon copain et son ex, se partagent leur fille toutes les semaines, càd qu'une semaine sur deux mon copain a la garde sa fille. Nombreux sont ceux qui m'ont dit que ce serait difficile de commencer une relation avec un homme qui a des enfants mais jusqu'à présent ce n'est pas le cas pour moi. Je ne suis pas jalouse de sa fille. C'est normale qu'il passe du temps avec elle! Donc des fois je ne le vois pas pendant une semaine, et des fois je passe la semaine avec lui et sa fille. Sans problèmes.

Mais son ex rends les beaux jours désagréables depuis qu'elle sait que j'existe. Au départ, elle a essayé de reprendre mon copain mais il a refusé ses avances vu qu'il était heureux avec moi. Elle a ensuite demandé a sa fille me haïr, de me dire des méchancetés bref de ne pas me voir, ni jouer avec moi etc. Hors, sa fille, plus intelligente, ne le fais pas. Elle me dit plutôt ce que sa mère lui dit de me dire. Donc sa ne marche pas vu qu'elle m'aime bien et je l'adore!

Je ne l'ai jamais vu, ni rencontrée, je sais d'elle que par sa fille ou par la famille/amis de mon copain. Je connait son passé avec elle mais je n'y peux rien et surtout je ne veux pas me mêler de leurs histoires...

Au départ donc, les mots et réflexions venant d'elle ne me faisait rien. Jusqu'à il y a quelques temps. Je me sens angoissée, je pleur, je n'en peux plus. Je sais que ce ne sont que des mots, mais ça devient de plus en plus difficile de surmonter tout cela. Je ne sais pas quoi faire. J'ai presque envie de la rencontrer pour qu'elle se calme un peu mais je n'ai pas envie de durcir la relation entre elle et mon copain vu qu'ils ont un enfant. Ma mère me dit de partir avant que je pète un plomb car elle va arrivait a détruire la relation entre mon copain et moi. Ce qu'elle veut certainement. Je ne sais pas vraiment ce qui m'arrive mais je me sens si inquiète...et coupable. Aujourd'hui par exemple, ce n'était pas la semaine de mon copain donc nous avons passé la journée chez ma mère. Il recoit d'un coup un coup de file de son ex pour lui dire que sa fille était tombée en faisant du patin à glace et qu'elles étaient à l’hôpital. Mon copain lui dit qu'il est en route et sans indiscrétion son ex lui demande où il était. Mon copain lui dit qu'il était avec moi et tout ce que j'ai entendu étaient des cris. En gros, elle ne comprenait pas pourquoi il était avec moi chez ma mère. Elle a ensuite dit a sa fille que son père était plus intéressé par moi que par elle, bref que son père ne l'aimait pas. JE SAIS que sa fille sait la vérité mais comment ne pas se sentir coupable?!...

I just bought a new PC with Windows 8. I watch some tv shows on the net that we don't get in my country and use a HDMI cable to put it on TV. I would like to record an upcoming show soon, but when I try to record nothing really happens. My TV is connected to a box and my PC and the recorder is connected to the box with a scart cable. If I connect the TV with recorder directly, does anyone know if it will record what I watch on my PC?

This might seem like an odd question but I tried upgrading joomla 1.5 to 2.5 and did all the changes in my cpanel but I fail tremendously, probably because I am a novice and it's beyond my competence. I didn't delete the folder I had on Cpanel, I just put them in an other folder. I put them back into the public_html after retrieving the new folders. But my site is still not working. I suppose its because JUpgrade replace my data files? I did a backup of my joomla 1.5. Does anyone know how I can restore the 1.5?

(Don't worry, next week someone more competent will upgrade my site again)

I have been trying to upgrade my site and migrating the 1.5 to 2.5. But in vain., The people from SP Upgrade suck at helping me out and I am like beginner in all this. I talk to my host and they recommend me to create a brand new J2.5 website (bummer but ok) and replace the J1.5 with it.

Alors je pense que je l'ai vu dans les années 90 mais je ne sais pas vraiment quand il a été filmé. C'est l'histoire d'une famille de dingues où le fils est homosexuel et sa mère essaye de le séduire pour le rendre hétéro. En vain elle fait appel à un homme africain pour le montrer ce qu'est un vrai homme viril qui aime les femmes mais il se retrouve au lit avec le fils. I like starting a bit early for Christmas gift and I got stuck...why to by to my brother's fiancee?

She is a thirty-something business woman with so much money, I believe she has everything...except a car maybe. But with a student budget, I cannot afford that.

Ok so:

* she has money

* she doesn't wear make-up

* she loves Hermes

* she got a box with soaps, shampoo and body lotion box from me last year

* she has started to wear color

* she is on a constant diet and training (seriously even dark chocolate is too fat for her)

* I have no idea what she likes other than that and her job (and my brother hopefully).

I have no idea if she has hobbies, if she like history or politics...because when we talk about it she is quiet.I think she is very difficult to buy something to just because I don't know her after all these years. My brother tells me to buy her anything, because anything is good enough. But some random thing is not for me and I seriously do not want to repeat myself.

So guys, what should I buy her for Christmas?

Voilà, j'ai trouvé une médaille dans une poche d'un vieux manteau appartenant à mon grand-père, maintenant décédé. La médaille est plaquée or avec d'un côté une chevalier sur un cheval se tenant sur ses pattes arrières. Le chevalier a une armure, un bouclier et un drapeau/banderole sans aucune inscription. Le cheval a aussi une armure avec, sur le front, quelque chose qui le fait ressembler a un unicorne. De l'autre côté, au centre d'une couronne de laurier, les initiales J.F.R.

Savez-vous ce que cette médaille représente? Est-elle française? Allemande? Que veulent dire les initiales J.F.R.?

J'ai chercher sur google mais en vain.

Merci de bien vouloir répondre sérieusement. Je n'ai pas eu longtemps mon grand-père avec moi et ce mistère me donnerait peut-être une idée de qui il était, de son passé et donc de mon histoire.

I have an Acer Aspier 3810TZ that I bought mainly to write my research on. Yet, some years ago I bought the Sims 3 and installed it together with Nightlife and Generations. Strangely...it has been working super! I went into a site called something like "can you run this" and it was telling me it would never work but it did. But then yesterday I installed some new features for my game, 2 new houses, bunch of cloths etc...

Today when I ran the game is was extremely slow...It took about an hour to download and in the end I couldn't play. The characters were too slow and I lost my patience.

Now, I do not know much about computers so I am asking:

1, is there anything I can do? I suppose not, I guess laptops are not the best computers to play on

2, which is, for 2012, the best computer I can buy to play my games if say, I want to buy a new expansion pack? I do not need a super fast all new computer that will cost me half my salary, I just want a good computer that will let me play my games smoothly.
