Hello. My question is I was working for a dental office, which is a corporation that has 13 offices, for almost 5 years and I was sent to another office because the other receptionist was fired. While I was there two other receptionists were hired and eventually they were fired and quit then another receptionist was hired and she may still be there. While I was employed there myself and the third receptionist would rotate days when she left the office at 530 and I stayed until 730, and one night it was my turn to go at 530 but she decided to that a break around 430 and as far as I know no one knows when she returned. I was given permission to leave the office by the dentist around 545 when she did not return and when I returned to the office the next day I was told I abandoned the office and was "let go". Do you that was wrongful termination? I am getting unemployment after filing an appeal. And also in order to sue for wrongful termination i was told I had to go through the EEOC to see if it was a race issue because im black the receptionist is Caucasian and so was the manager who fired me. Even though I think it was wrong for mr to be fired I don't really think it was racially motivated the manager is just an idiot. Sorry for the long post but it kinda is a long story.

hello. I have been working for a co for over 4 years. My co hac 13 offices and I was asked to go to another office and "help" out until a reseptionist was hired and trained. So while at this office the manager is new she has been with the co since may and she relies heavily on me she asks me so many questions that I had to go on the co website and print out a managers manauel so I can answer them. So to fastfoward a new person was hired and I learned that I will train her but the manager told me she would help. The way she helps me is by going in her office and locking the door so was basically training this girl for an office that I dont work at. After being tols several times that I would be released after the new person is hired and trained I ws told I have to stay which I cried when I learned that because I was not expecting that. So I got over that and the next day was written up for being on my cell phone while clocked out and on a break I did not sign the wright up but I did put a not on it that I was CLOCKED OUT. Then at the end of the day I was told that in 2 weeks my hours would change. Mind u I have had the same hours for 4 years and I have a 5year old that I have to pick up from school by 6pm so I leave at 530 this has never been a problem until now, they want me to stay until 7 or 8pm and I was told I have 2 weeks to find a solution to my day care problem or I may be replaced. My question after all of that is will i be able to get unemployment benefits if I am fired for that I live in pa. Thank u

I have a job at a dental office for 3 years where I am supposed to the office manager. There is this girl who has been there for about 7 months who is the receptionist who I trained. I found out in December she was making $3.00 more than me. I spoke to my boss he said he thought it was fair and he was not going to give me equal pay. Last week he gave me a dollar raise and the next day he took away one of my work days saying he could not afford to let me work the day which I was only working 4 days a week. Come to find out the girl who is making more the me is working my day that was cut and I found out he used to date her mom and the girl who makes more than me and my boss goes out to dinner and to have drinks sometimes which I am not jealous of because I don't think I could stand it but do you think this if fair and has anyone been in this situation and what have you done?

I have an ex-boyfried who I let get a car in my name and he got over $4000 in parking tickets which I was paying on them. Well last week I went to court for the fines because I had not paid any since January this year and I was sentenced to 24 days in jail. I did not do any time because I paid off my fines at the jail but I was processed, I had to wait in a holding cell for 7 hours before the money was brought to me. My question is should I sue my ex? He has paid almost $8000 in payments for the car but I feel he should have paid his fines. I have 2 kids, one his, and I don't really have the extra money for this. Do you think I have a chance to win or should I forget about it because I do have the car and title?
