I normally use ABI word for my files or the free trial MS office version to standart open word documents (depending on which they were created.

In a folder I had several word documents, some created with MS word and some with Abi Words. Anyway I viewed some of these files on the weekend, all fine, now I just tried to open one of the files again and I couldn't open it in MS office it says it has expired and I need to either buy it or download the free trial version again.

So I tried to open it in Word pad and this is when 'magically' all them files turned into .docx files. I tried to rename them without the x ending, one file get's the program non responsive each time I try to open it. I tried to assign doc files always to be opened with Abi Word...nothing. I can still open them with word pad, but it's not handy, as it is copies of MSN and Skype chats and the formatting goes crappy there. I tried online converters, they load and load and load...nothing happens, I still won't be able to open the files in Abi word the document simply stays blank. But it is only the files in Abi word, the ones that were created in MS word stayed the same and I can open them. What could've screwed my files up? Is there any other way to get the file back to what it was? These files are important to me and I don't know whether I have all of them backed up.

Hi, I was wondering whether I can create a tunnel and let one of the transport rides go through it. I know from RTC1 you had to raise the ground in front of the tracks to like a mountain, then lower the square of ground directly in front of the track to a slope and let the tracks go down aswell. In RTC1 this worked without problems as for paths or rides. Now the first time I am trying this on RTC 3 it doesn't work. As soon as the track reaches the 'wall' of the mountain it goes red and I get a message "you cannot build a track piece here". Even though I made sure the mountain is high enough to allow enough head space for the ride. Is there a trick, a cheat or am I doing something wrong?

Anyone on here who knows the area around Cordes-sur-ciel in Midi-Pyrénées (Deptartement Tarn), France well?

I was once there on a work camp for two weeks in 2000 and we also met up with a group of young French people. It was an old house we renovated (painting, wallpapering etc.), it was located in the landscape with only few houses around, it was a slight hillside and when leaving the house there was a crossroad a few hundred metres to the left. It wasn't exactly in Cordes, but in the surroundings. If I remember right, there was a village close by called St. Martin or something similar with a river winding though it. It was 13 years ago, so I have no memory whether the house had a name,

but it was quite big, L-shaped, overlooking a valley,very rural and quiet with the next neighbours maybe 100m away. If I remember right, the house was beige/brown-ish painted with blue window frames (7 broad windows it had on the first floor and 3 on each side on the ground floor and a door in the middle on the front. On the left side of the L shaped building was a big gate (behind it a big room with a stage. On the right hand side of the house one could walk down a gravel path to the basement floor. If I remember right there were outside stairs going up to the ground floor and the banister of the balcony type thing was black. I was just trying to locate it on Google Street view, but have no idea where it could be.

Does anyone know a village named St. Martin in the surroundings of Cordes?

It's probably a mission impossible as I can't remember that much, it's bugging me to find out where it is.. But maybe anyone has an idea or remembers/knows a house with that description in the area.

I've worked as tourguide in 2011 for the summer season and liked it. I got the initial contact to the agency from an aquaintance. I did Dublin City tours and also big tours. They also wanted me for the entire 2012 season but then I got a full time job, so I went for the ft position and had to cancel the tourguiding. The agency was not happy abut that. I offered I could still do Dublin tours, but not the big serveral days one that go all across the country, since I cannot manage that with a FT job. I haven't heard from them since. They jsut didn;t understand that I prefer a proper FT job to a seasonal position.

However I would like to do the occasional DCT on weekends. Does anyone know some agencies where I could try my luck? I love giving tours and would like to keep this up.

Or would that work even as self employed? But if self employed, would 1 or 2 tours per week mean in is a real job that needs to be taxed? Never done it as self employed. Info anyone?
